Entertaining, but has things that annoy

Wasn’t my favorite narration; what in the heck was the decision process for the voice of the next door neighbor, too over the top for my liking. Not sure if this was the author’s choice or the narrator’s, but it really took me out of the story. The other narration was good though.

I like the setup for this story; first female wolf shifter trying to survive a possibly ill-fated prophecy type of thing, mysterious hottie looking to help her out, and she has some kick butt qualities as well. Bad people out to get her from multiple angles; exciting danger! A fun adventure! Like that the story deals with shifters and other supernaturals, and I like that there is a soul connection of sorts.

Unfortunately, there were some things that didn’t work for me. I can’t stand when the lead female character sleeps with someone else that isn’t going to be her love interest for the series; it puts a taint on the rest of this book and the series for me. Also, I don’t like the traits the author chose for the shifters, vampires, and other supernaturals in this book. They are pretty much the things I don’t care for when I’m reading paranormal romance. Shifters that can’t control their wolf’s urges; especially sexual ones, and that mates aren’t given more worth. Pompous, holier than though vampires. Witchy with a B witches. Just really makes these characters annoying to me. The next book seems like it will deal a lot more with the vampires, so not sure I want to continue. If I find a good deal, then possibly. There is a cliffhanger ending to this story. Overall, I liked the story okay; it was an entertaining read, but it just wasn’t fully for my tastes.

A delicious story…

…but, sadly, I found the narration to be weak. She has promise but needs to improve her character’s accents. There’s very little difference between them.

A little too juvenile

the narrator should only be doing teenage books. she has a good voice, but she can't do the accents very well, and when she starts using the dirty words, it's sort of creeps me out cuz it sounds like a little girl talking nasty.

The narrator sounds too young.

I read this series before listening to it, and it is a great story. Unfortunately, the narrator just sounds way to young for this character. That's the only thing I didn't like.

Narration :(

The narrator for this book was not good. There were very odd pauses and I ended up finally bumping the speed to 1.25x in order to finish the book. The book itself was ok, but I would recommend reading it yourself.

Interesting Plot, Bad narrator

I wish that I would have read the other reviews regarding the narrator. I don't think I would have purchased the book.
I almost stopped listening to it a couple of time since the narrator could do an accent to save her life. They all sounded similar and really robotic.
The story line was what kept me listening or I would have given up on the book completely.

Like the story but....

Would you listen to Full Blooded again? Why?

Probably not although I will listen to the next book in the series because I do like the story line.

Did Casey Holloway do a good job differentiating all the characters? How?

Casey did fine with the female characters but the male characters leave a lot to be desired. I never knew which male was talking unless it was mentioned. I am hoping she gets better because as hot as some of the characters are made out to be, if I heard them actually talking like that, I would have a hard time keeping a straight face.

Any additional comments?

As I mentioned, I will listen to book 2 because the story line drew me in but sometimes I just wanted to hit Jessica off the side of the head and the narration for the male charaters need to be better.

Amanda Carlson is a great new author.

A great new werewolf urban fantasy. The plot has several twists and turns. The characters are well written. Jessica is a wonderful and strong heroine. The end is a cliffhanger. I can't wait to see where the story goes next.

This is paranormal romance series

They say it is an Urban Fantasy series but it has all the hallmarks of a paranormal romance series.
As I have heard the paranormal romance series described in the past “Paranormal Romance novels are pornos: They have meaningless hot sex and really bad dialog.”
Logic, commonsense and intellect is not important in these stories, the authors can force any shaped peg to fit their round hole.

To make it worse, the performer sounds like a 10 year old girl who thinks she is the best reader in her class and is trying to prove it be reading slowly and over annunciating every syllable.

Complete Review Of Full Blooded

Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?

I thoroughly enjoyed the book and would recommend it to anyone.I came across this series while i was on one of my many book hunting adventures. When i read the back of the book and proceeded to look inside it i felt as if it was worth giving a try. And boy was i correct. It not only exceeded my expectations but landed Amanda Carlson on my must read series list! lol I look forward to reading the next book in the series.

Have you listened to any of Casey Holloway’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

This was my first time listening to any narrations by Casey Holloway. But i must say she was phenomenal. She gave a five star performance. Her voice changed to suit each character. If it had not been stated that Casey Holloway was the sole narrator of the book you would have never known. You would have thought that there was an array of people doing the narration. That's just how good she was.

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

I went through a range of emotions while reading the book. From laughing to heartache to omg whats going to happen and back again lol.
