Publisher's summary

Morgan Lewis, a hopeless romantic and the bubbly owner of the Polka Dot Bakery, couldn't wait to wed the man of her dreams. Feeling giddy as she walks through the park carrying her beautiful wedding dress over her shoulder, she sees a sight no soon-to-be bride should ever see. In that moment, the wedding of her dreams becomes a story fit for a gossip magazine. As tears stream down her face, she wonders who to cancel first: the church or the caterer.

Insert Jayden Rivers, whose career in production has him relocated to Atlanta. His mother always said it would take a special woman to lure him away from his work, but he felt like someone sucker punched him when he saw her, the sweet smelling goddess carrying a wedding dress through the park. Will Jayden be able to set the camera aside and restore Morgan's faith in love?

Sweet & Funny

The buzz for this book was off the charts but with Willard as the author what do you expect? I read the book when it first came out then later listened to Alison Edwards narrate it and she did a splendid job.

Morgan is the sweet owner of the Polka Dot Bakery, just days away from marrying the man of her dreams. Up till him and a co-worker were getting busy if you know what I mean . *wink wink* That was the beginning of the end for them, Her friends were ecstatic about calling of the wedding. Morgan then through herself in to baking and also comes to the conclusion she needs to work on her self, with the whole "I don't need a man." deal. This is where we introduce Jayden. A transplant who falls hard for Morgan at first sight. Want to know more? Gonna have to Read or Listen to find out!

Narration was killing me

I could hear every single time she swallowed. I was like she had a piece of candy in her mouth. I could not focus on the story any longer.

Friendship with a side of romance!

I really loved this story! It's great if you're looking for a laid back journey into the lives of multiple characters that isn't solely about romance. The story is about the friendship of four young women. While it centers around Morgan and how she deals with her ex and new flame, it also covers what's going on in the other friend's lives. I really like that it's also about how Morgan chooses to re-focus on herself and her business. I enjoyed the amount of detail in the ordinary day to day both in and outside the bakery. (And somehow found myself doing some baking I had been putting off while I listened!)
I agree that the narration made it sound like the women were older than they were, and it was also difficult to distinguish the different voices.

Kinda boring

This was a simple story and rather boring. I’m really not a fan of the story or narrator.

Booooring

Narrator is sooo boring! Writing is boring. But I think a better narrator could give it more pizazz. I couldn’t even finish!

funny with all the "feels"

A laugh out loud rom-com by A.M. Willard that delivers all the feels at the same time. Alison Edwards is an excellent voice for the narration.

A sweet read!!

4.5*s

So, this is my first A.M. Willard book and... it’s not going to be my last. I loved this story. The characters, the story itself and the dynamics of the friendships that unfold through out had me laughing one minute and ready to nut punch people in the next. Lol

I think this was not only a fantastic group of people to learn about but it revolves around a bakery, can you say cupcakes! I wish I had a friend win a bakery. I’d never leave. :p

Morgan is a sassy, sugary kind of lady who has class and a way about herself that puts her in ballgame all her own. She bakes, decorated and educates you on the fine art of baking. The love of her business and for her designing is over the top but in a good way. She had a rocky road when her fiancé turns out to be a douche. Go figure.

Enter Jayden... then the ex, Simon is back, then there is Nick.... and the real fun begins. They are all after one woman and her they all have different things they want. Only one makes the cut though. The man in her heart who won her over before she even knew it.

Now Morgan and Jayden are on a new adventure together. Love and cupcakes are a way to any goes heart.

Just kept going...

2.5 Stars

Just two weeks before her wedding, rushing home after a long day of wedding preparations and running her successful bakery, Morgan thinks she sees her fiancé with another woman. But this can't be, because Simon is supposed to be out of town on business. When he admits to a last fling before getting married, this is one thing Morgan can't forgive and she tells him to cancel everything.

The same day Morgan finds out about Simon is the same day she literally runs into Jayden Rivers in the park. He's in Atlanta to start a job as an Associate Producer at the Time Warner Studio. The next time Jayden see's Morgan is when she has an allergic reaction to the chocolate frosting she knows she shouldn't eat at her bakery.

As Jayden and Morgan keep running into each other, a connection forms. But is Morgan ready to jump right back into the dating pool after her recent break-up and will Jayden ever get the real story after many misunderstandings.

I think this is a book I should have read instead of listening to. The narrator sounded like an older woman. I say that with all due respect as I'm not young myself. But these characters are in their late 20's to early 30's and the reader sounded like she was at least in her late 50's. I think my issues with the narrator are also colored by the fact that I had just listened to an audiobook which had been my ideal of how an audiobook should be done, with female characters speaking their lines and male characters speaking theirs. This narrator couldn't even make subtle voice changes for each character. They all sounded the same. Maybe I'm just spoiled at this point.

Also the story felt like It could have ended at least 4 times. I kept thinking, oh... this issue is resolved, it's about to end. But nope... there was something else that would come up and be another issue. It just kept going on and on.

The one thing I am interested in is "Natasha's" story. I'm just really interested in her relationship with Diesel and his daughter.

Sweet Romance Story

This book follows the characters Morgan and Jayden on there journey to finding love. You also get to know more about Morgan's friends and how there lives are going which was really nice to me and made me enjoy this book even more. Morgan is the owner of a bakery and a very hopefull romantic but she sure did make me laugh out loud in some parts. Jayden was my favorite character that guy was so sweet, caring and sexy it's easy to fall for him. I really enjoyed Frosted Sweets it's the first book in the Taste of Love series by A.M. Willard and also the first book I've read by this author. The book was very well written and easy to read and follow along with. The only complaint I had was how it ended because it leaves you hanging and personally I don't like that. But it is part of a series and book 2 Sugary Sweets is out now which I will be starting next. So I'm happy that I don't have to wait to see how this book is going to continue. Overall this book was a sweet romance with a little bit of spice added in. I would recommend this to anyone who like romance to give this series a chance. Also if you like audiobooks the audiobook of this was really good too. The narrator did a great job reading and portraying the characters.
