Great listen

I really enjoyed this one! I was so glad the narrator was good with both male and female voices.
Some skipping was heard but hopefully that will get worked out. Otherwise a fun listen.

Nice story

This was a cute story but the characters although very likable came across as extremely immature. The narrator's voice was clear and understandable but I didn't really like her male voice. However I would listen to another of her books.

Surprising Story!

Roxy Sinclaire delivers a college football story that you think is going to be the typical guy makes a bet to get the girl story! But Alice is not the typical girl and makes Shawn rethink his approach to winning the bet. I found Alice to be a great character that was strong enough to put Shawn in his place when needed. The surprising part is the twist that happens with an ex of Alice's that you do not see coming.

I thought the narrator did a great job portraying all voices throughout the book.

The only problem technically were the sound glitches that happened throughout the book. Hopefully this will be taken care of since some of the narration gets cut off.

STORY IS OKAY BUT EDITING ISSUES ARE ANNOYING

Any additional comments?

I was provided this audiobook by the author in exchange for an unbiased review.

First listen to this series and it did well as a stan-alone. Cute and short and packs in a lot of story. Unfortunately, it's not a new storyline... "Guys make a bet over getting a girl, some yadda-yadda and trouble, then they fall in love). Characters are likable but there's not much time for development. And I'm not sure how the title correlates because there wasn't a "last-ditch effort" theme and I didn't notice a wordplay on "fourth." The writing, as a whole, has a Young Adult feel... with Mature Adult Sex.

It's my first listen to Lynnae Stanwick and she pleasantly surprised me. There were technical glitches, though. Chopped endings. Repeats. Overlaps. That sort of stuff.

PUMPING UP ONE THUMB!

Love in unlikely places.

Would you consider the audio edition of Fourth and Goal to be better than the print version?

I am torn here. I really enjoyed the audio format, as it was performed well...but there were a great deal of technical glitches throughout this audiobook. Based on that it would have been a better read, but if I base on performance it was a better listen.

What did you like best about this story?

I enjoyed the fact that it went into a friend zone and that allowed them to develop their relationship naturally.

Would you listen to another book narrated by Lynnae Stanwick?

Yes. She did a great job performing. She was enthusiastic and clearly spoken, her male voices weren't the best, but they were okay. You were able to tell who was talking and their emotions portrayed easily. Only issue was there were times words were cut off and skip with the recording, which is a technical issue. It was bearable to deal with but got annoying at the end.

If you were to make a film of this book, what would the tag line be?

The Anti-boyfriend, boyfriend.

Any additional comments?

This is a great college romance story. It was realistic with characters and had some great friends to lover moments. I really enjoyed the story, and the narration was upbeat and enthusiastic. Beside the minor glitches I really enjoyed this audiobook. I was provided this audiobook for free from the author, narrator, or publisher, for my unbiased review.

Nice Story

I got this book via audiobook boom. Shawn and Alice were opposites in college but soon became friends and as their friendship grew they found their HEA. I like the fact that Shawn was able to grow from super jock with arrogance issues to a man who could be what he should be for Alice.

Favorite of the series

Love this book! I think of the series so far, this one is my favorite. The story of Shawn and Alice is so much fun while at the same time deals with real life issues. The two meet at a freshman party(Alice is a freshman) and get together for different reasons. Alice is trying to make her ex-boyfriend jealous and Shawn is trying to win a bet. Little did they know the impact of their meeting and getting to know each other would result in the love of their lives! The journey they start out on in college, and how things are handled reminds me of my college-aged boys and what they are going through. Very true to life, Roxy Sinclaire portrays their relationship to perfection. I loved the integration of the college scene's dating experiences and issues that young adults have. Learning of date rape, and the psychological and physical games that are played in this book is very real and Roxy gives an accurate account of how consumed and crazy some individuals can be. The love story was wonderful and I fully enjoyed it.

Lynnae Stanwick is the narrator for this book and her performance was very enjoyable.

Fourth and Goal

A perfect way to meet and connect, without even realizing that they are your other half. I loved watching these two grow with their feelings and the huge bump that causes problems along the way. Such a fun listen as this whole series has been and am looking forward to the next couple.
