Alayna Withers' relationship with Hudson Pierce has tested both her and his ability to trust. They decide that the only way they can move forward together is with open doors and transparency. It won't be easy for the scarred lovers, but they're committed to each other more now than ever. Alayna, in particular, has grown through their trials, and has emerged more confident and faithful to the man she loves.

But while the pair is focused on the future, their past shows up again to threaten their fragile bond. Promises that were made are broken, and Alayna learns that Hudson still has very potent secrets - secrets that will tear them both apart. As much as she feels for him, her ability to forgive and forget is tested beyond her limits.

Even though she found the only man who could fix her, a forever with Hudson seems more and more out of reach.

IT SIMPLY TOOK MY BREATH AWAY

Well WOW, I'm emotionally drained after listening to the heartbreaking shocking finale to this intensely addictive, compelling, emotional, hot and eventually beautiful love story that Hudson and Laynie fought so desperately for over the whole Fixed trilogy storyline.

I've lost friends, lost sleep, lost time and been mildly threatened with divorce but, as this intense, passionate, sexy, storyline plays out with its full and richly described scenes with very heartbreaking secrets and surprises, all the overwhelming desperation and despair, the loveable/hateful characters and the climactic nail-biting ending, I was left utterly emotionally drained but also deliriously ecstatic.

Worth a credit? It was so well written, so well described, so well narrated and it's storyline and characters were so well thought out that all I can finally say is that it was so very well worth the three credits for this haunting awesome trilogy.

Alayne and Hudson Are Together For Now

If you could sum up Forever with You in three words, what would they be?

Trust your feelings. They love each other and must get through some bad times to know that they do love each other enough to address their secrets together.

What other book might you compare Forever with You to and why?

This is probably like a lot of books about love and obsession and sex but none come to mind. I found the issues that Alayne and Hudson address refreshing in that they know they have problems, he knows he screwed up, and she knows he screwed up, but they love each other and will find a way to be together.

What does Carly Robins bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

She makes the characters live in the listener's mind. Her ability to convey the pain and lust they feel is not possible when read in print.

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

A couple of places I wanted to throw it across the room but since I was listening on my iPad I resisted. It was a good book.

perfect fantasy

Though a predictable ending, getting there was a fun ride. I enjoyed the narrator: especially her voice for Hudson. I look forward to other books by Laurelin.

meh...

oh my... this took me over three weeks to finish I just had a hard time listening to a whole chapter of her illness taking over it drove me to the point where I would have to turn it off and walk away from the book for a couple of days because I want to pulling Elena's hair out. or maybe it's the fact that I have a sister that's bipolar so I really don't want to hear about it in a book...I don't know. I think the narrator did a great job in the story line was better towards the end in my opinion

Best of the series

What did you love best about Forever with You?

I think my favorite part was the glimpse of Hudson's view at the end.

What other book might you compare Forever with You to and why?

I would compare this to the Crossfire series. It is not as good, but this was definitely my favorite of the series.

What does Carly Robins bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

I like her narration as Alyana. But sometimes when she was portraying Hudson, she slipped into her feminine voice. It was a bit noticeable. This was my least favorite performance of the three books.

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

I think the moment that stands out for me is the moment towards the end in Hudson's loft. His smile at seeing her is a moment that sticks with me.

Any additional comments?

As a mental health counselor, please research a mental disorder before throwing it around. Nothing about Hudson made him diagnosable as a psychopath, but for some reason he believed it. If anything, his mother was the crazy one. I hope that's what the author was going for.

Final book, Finally

Again, in volume 3 of the series, Laurelin Paige has given us a story that is hard to put down. Even when my anxiety is at its breaking point, I continue to listen to this audio book. I yell at Alayna and Hudson when they do things that are stupid. Especially Alayna who is trying to overcome her possessiveness obsession. I'm not sure my emotions can continue with this story, but I will persevere. I'm in this too far, I have to see it through to the end. I started fast forwarding through the story, but had to back up to find out what they did this time to destroy their relationship. The lies and secrets are no big deal under other circumstances, but with their psychotic personalities, they are huge. I was finally finished with this series, and then there was Hudson. The next book is from his perspective. I don't know if I can take more of this anxiety. But, that is what keeps the blood pumping. I will see what Hudson has to say about all this. What was going on in his mind when he did the things he did in this book. Finally, it comes to an end. Maybe!!!

Cruel Intentions

If you could sum up Forever with You in three words, what would they be?

Cruel Intentions Clone

Any additional comments?

Alayna makes things so much harder, painful, and complicated for herself than she has to. Always! If you have seen the film Cruel Intentions and liked the story, you will enjoy this trilogy. The ending was a bit drawn out and as in the previous books, I was yelling at Alayna to see what is right in front of her face, but she is a bit dense sometimes. She never makes the smart decision, but as long as the story ends up where I want it to, I guess I'm happy. That being said, with all of her stupid decisions, she's lucky she didn't mess things up beyond repair a long time ago.

I got sucked into this trilogy. I think Alayna goes a little too far in her rejection of Hudson and needs to get off her high horse and realize what the events leading up to this ending really mean. She should take a page from the aforementioned film. Is she really so dumb not to realize that the reasoning that leads to what they currently have is all the more reason to value what they have. Doesn't every girl want to be 'different'? The one that changes the man they are with? I know Alayna does; she has said as much. Come on girl.
