Best-selling novelist Robyn Carr continues her popular Virgin River series with Forbidden Falls.
Recently ordained minister Noah Kincaid is used to taking on new challenges, so he has no problem tackling the renovation of the long-abandoned Virgin River church. But that’s before he meets the stunningly beautiful—and stubbornly headstrong—Ellie Baldwin. She may not be exactly what Noah wants in an assistant, but she may be exactly what he needs.
Take another trip down the Virgin River.

Great, great story. As with all the Virgin River books this one has a main story and other side stories in it. The story of Noah and Ellie is very sweet you can see their love develop and grow as many changes happen in their lives. Narrator is excellent as always (she is one of the best at Audible). Very credit worthy and I will listen to this one again...you will too.
I have all of Robyn Carr's Audible books...these are good stories that you can get into and enjoy the personalities, delimeas they get into, good life stories. I really enjoyed these characters and storyline.

"Forbidden Falls" by Robyn Carr was another good read of this author's 'Virgin River Series.' This series was of Noah and Ellie. This was a wonderful romantic story of a pastor from a new town who finds love on 'from the other side of the tracks.' There will also be a secondary story involving a past hero/heroine who will have a 'heart tugging change of events that will be brought into their lives.' Now, to truly understand this second story you may need to go back a series to see what is up with Paul and Vanessa. This author really knows her stuff in being able to put all of these series together that they seem to flow so smoothly off of the pages as you read them. The reader will also be able to find out about the secrets of the puppies and with that being said you must pick up "Forbidden Falls" to read it for yourself to see how this author will bring it all out to you. It is a good read.
There will be so much going on in "Forbidden Fall" that once you start reading you will find it hard to put down and when you do you will be wanting the next series # 10 "Angel's Peak."
Live, love, laugh...
I love the Virgin River series. It's my favorite romance series in Audible and I've listened to several. You can always count on Robyn Carr to deliver an interesting love story and on Therese Plummer to deliver a flawless narration.
Ellie and Noah's story is wonderful because two very different people find each other and make their relationship work against the odds. This story makes you think about the pre conceived notions we have of some people and how by being judgemental we can loose the opportunity of meeting someone amazing...
Therese Plummer is the best narrator out there. Period. She makes a good story, great and a bad story, nice. She's consistently excellent!
No extreme reaction, but I did enjoy it a lot.
Read the Virgin River series in order. Past characters continue to develop on each book.
I thought this book was pretty hot. I liked both main characters and thought they had great chemistry. I haven't been disappointed yet with a RC book; she just draws you in and makes you feel like one of the locals. Although both main characters are new, there is quite a bit of info explained regarding some of the previous characters, so I recommend starting at the beginning with Virgin River and listening to them in order so you have a good grasp of the character base. Otherwise the other supplemental information won't mean much to you.
Oh, and Therese Plummer once again rocks the narration!
Audible started me reading fiction again. What a treat to have professional actors narrating a book I may not have had the time to "read".
Not my favorite due to the premise. The stripper sounded more like Mother Theresa! Never could figure out why she was attracted to certain types of men. The minister was a little hard to figure out as well. I do enjoy reading about all the townspeople so I will go back to Robyn Carr again for an enjoyable listen.
This one is about a widowed pastor and an exotic dancer with two kids whom she lost custody of to a wack job ex-husband. Some of the previous characters popped in and out or were mentioned and briefly updated. The primary focus of this story involved children: wanting, raising, gaining custody, fostering, adopting and conceiving. Whew!! Also, there was a touch of Christian topics throughout as well as thoughtful-witty advice sprinkled in. I thought the relationship between the pastor and ex-stripper mom was at times funny and witty! I thoroughly enjoyed it.
Yes! This series has alot of real life issues and connects the reader with this little Virgin River town!
Melinda most definatley. Throughout the series, she has strong morals and voices her opnion when needed. She helps people in need and enjoys it. She is a good role model.
Yes. Therese Plummer is an exellent narrator. I have put lots of book on my wish list simply because she narrated it.
I think the title of the book would make a great tag because it does capture what the book is about.
I havae to say, this was my least favorite of her books so far. Having such an attachment to all of the previous characters and story lines, there were only 2 story lines here and not much about the other's lives.
I really did NOT like the fact that she made the minister out to be one who does not take God's commands seriousely, but thinks of them as just recommendations. That really turned me off.
I hope it is not a slippery slope and the next book is not as disappointing.
