What happens when the glass slippers pinch Cinderella's toes? When Jaine Andersen proposes a new marketing role to the local amusement park, general manager Dylan Callahan charms her into filling Cinderella's glass slippers for the summer. Her reign transforms Jaine's ordinary life into chaos that would bewilder a fairy godmother. Secretly dating her bad boy boss, running wedding errands for her ungrateful sisters, and defending herself from the park's resident villain means Jaine needs lots more than a comfy pair of shoes to restore order in her kingdom. First in the Storybook Valley series, a blend of sweet romance, chick lit, and fairy tale fun.

Books give a soul to the universe, wings to the mind, flight to the imagination, and life to everything. - Plato
The author did an excellent job creating a unique and fun Cinderella inspired story. The story is set in an amusement park where the main character ends up dressing up as Cinderella to help out the new boss and provide extra hours before they can hire her full time.
The narrator did a fairly good job bringing the story to life. It was a fun lighthearted story with a HEA conclusion.
Her sisters were awful. I did not care for how they treated Jaine. I did like Dylan's personality, although, he did make me mad by jumping to conclusions. Dylan's Grandfather was great. I really liked him.
I'm looking forward to reading more books by this author.

Stacy Juba is a talented author and Karen Commins did a great job performing this book. I found this book to be entertaining and an unusual storyline. Typically one does not think of Cinderella and playing one in a theme park as a means to ideal marketing job. Some of the characters were more likable than others (Dylan's grandfather was a favorite of mine). I felt bad for Jaine being taken advantage of by her sisters. My review is not a synopsis of the book, but rather my opinion of it. I was given this free review copy audiobook at my request and have voluntarily left this review.
I got this book via audiobook boom. The narrator was perfect for the book. She brought each character to life. Those twin sisters of Jaine were portrayed wonderfully. You could feel how they were taking advantage of Jaine. but I loved the instances when she stood up to them also. The story centers around Dylan getting his family's theme park back to being popular and how he falls for Jaine and Jaine who lost her marketing job due to downsizing helping him do this. They fall in love along the way. this is a sweet romance that held my attention. I would recommend this version of the Cinderella story. Little Red Riding hood was hilarious and Dylan's Mom was just too bossy for words.
Jaine wants to be the Marketing Director at Storybook Valley, a fairy tale theme park. The position doesn't start until the fall but she needs a job now. She's roped into playing the Cinderella character at the theme park but is ashamed to reveal her real job to her snooty, self-absorbed sisters. Between work, planning her sister's wedding and dating the handsome General Manager Dylan, she's exhausted. When a jealous coworker makes trouble, both of their positions are in jeopardy. Can Jaine save the wedding, her job and her sanity, all while wearing too-tight glass slippers? Will Cinderella get her handsome prince? We all know how that fairy tale ends, don't we?
Fooling Around With Cinderella was a sweet romance that was such an enjoyable listen. I loved the banter between Jaine and Dylan and it was obvious from the start that they belonged together. I also loved Dylan's grandfather and those gnomes! The story was well written and was performed very nicely by the narrator. I would recommend this.

An Old Tale With A New Twist
I received this book in exchange for a fair review.
This is a fun little story set in a fairy tale amusement park. The characters are likeable and the setting adds a new twist to the story. This is a rom com that will add a smile to your day.
The narrator did a great job.

I am just girl who loves my husband, dogs, shopping online and books!
This was an awesome book. Such a great twist on a modern-day fairytale. I use to work at a well known amusement Park as a fairly well-known character so I could totally relate to so much of this book! The writer did excellent job of weaving in the Cinderella fairytale without going over-the-tpo. I would recommend this book to anyone who loves a sweet romances with a great twist of Comedy Perfect combination.
The narrator on the other hand, was not so great at this story. it's not that she did anything bad. it's just I couldn't picture her as a twentysomething bubbly Cinderella. She did really good job reading the story. It was just the voices that needed work.
"A good contempery romance."
This audio book has to be one of the best that I have listen too so far. I really enjoyed listening to it. It had its funny and frustrating moments.
Jaine the main character was well written and believable. She was complex and nothing was black and white in what she did. She actually felt real. I loved her character a lot. She did not take things siting down. She is the type of person that deals with problems. Which I really liked about her. I felt sorry for her at times but she stuck to who she is so the people around her saw that what you see is what you get and because of this she got the guy in the end.
My only problem is the narrator sounded older then the character. I kept imagining Jaine being in her 30's instead of her mid 20's.
This is a sweet romance with funny moments. I would definitely read/listen to books written by this author.
would recommend this book to everyone.
