Jack Gordon is Ann Arbor's most delectable bachelor. At age 35, he's made millions as a top-selling Ann Arbor real estate broker and has the right connections to close a deal by any means necessary. With his rugged good looks and compelling personality, he has a virtual black book most men would kill for and he uses it often, never settling for one woman for very long. While his past remains buried, exactly where he wants it, an undercurrent of boredom and dissatisfaction runs through his life now.
A disastrous experience years earlier made him swear off the whole scene, but the more Jack suppresses his natural Dom, the more his frustration grows. Sara Thornton, a rookie in the real estate game, has fast-tracked herself to the top of the Ann Arbor market. Her life reflects a disciplined and focused routine, exactly the way she wants it. However, as her career takes off, the fulfillment she seeks remains inexplicably out of reach. The one thing she knows for sure: She will not join the Jack Gordon groupies in her company, no matter how tempting that might seem. A chance encounter, then a difficult transaction, throw Jack and Sara together and the sparks fly high and hot and often. Forced to confront the compulsions that gain momentum with each sizzling encounter, their relationship seems to spiral out of control until Jack finally admits what he needs, and shows Sara what she's been missing.

I enjoy reading, listening and reviewing. I enjoy blogging. Doing what I enjoy giving feed back in hopes someone will try a new author.
Erotica, emotional, power play
Without Traci I would have most likely skipped over a lot of the sex part lol. She made it more interesting for me, gave more emotion then reading does and brought the book to life.
As an audio I truly enjoy this, I have listen to some where there is no emotion in the erotica parts. I found the narrator gave life to this story that I might have missed had I read it. I thought this was a nice read with lots of passion, you have two people who need to learn to trust but really have no reason to. They must find their way and give so much of themselves before they can even think about moving into a relationship.
Jack is a jerk with that said I do understand why he is the way he is which made him more endearing. I grow to like him better but I am still not his biggest fan. He could have handled so many things better but this is the normal of people. I had just expected more from him since he was very good at talking and taking control.
I can't honestly said I cared to much for Sarah although I did feel sorry for her. I did understand the struggle she was going through, she had many hard choices to make. It is hard for a strong minded women to give control over. Jack really doesn't give her many reason to do that.
I felt the author gave a easy to follow story with her words flowing in a way that she pulled you into the story. It was a story that I more or listened to at one setting, I needed to see how this story played out. The author does give you a happy ending which I did think might have been a little rushed. The question is will it stay a happy ending or will things take a turn in the next book in this series.
All in all I thought this was a good read that was worth my time. I am looking forward to the next few books in this series to see just what path Jack and Sarah take. I have a feeling theirs is going to be a very rocky road.
My favorite things are my family and my books! Depending on the day, not in that order. :)
I have mixed feelings about this one. He's a playboy, she's driven to succeed. He wants her, she falls for his crap. The sex scenes are hot and well written. The characters are developed. The story flows well. I personally just wanted to jump in and shake some sense into her!

There's a lot going on in this book. It spans a good amount of time and much of the foundation for the series is established. There's a whole cast of interesting characters. And yet while there's a lot of story to be told, it lacked the sizzle and the drama and the tension the greatest books contain.
