Loved It!

I don't read much fiction, they story has to hold my interest! Fun story, keeps you interested, very steamy! I recommend it. Moving on to book 2... I can't wait!

Just can't

I would definitely have listened to the whole series but I could barely get through the first one due to the narration. Having a female do all the narrating was just wrong. If she had been able to change her voice more, it might have worked, but she couldn't and it ruined the whole story.

great series with a twist

love, love, love it. Alayna and Hudson make one of those romances that you won't forget, super hot!! I felt that there was a perfect balance of story line and their passionate sex scenes. I love the intensity of how these two love each other. I have read all the books including Hudson. These series is definitely one of my top best ones.

Love the book.

Great romance with a good story line. The narrator does a great job with thus book. If you like the story of Eva and Gideon and Christian and Anastasia, you'll like thus one for sure.

Not so Fixed

I downloaded this book because it had great reviews and the narrator was highly rated, however, I didn't like it. Honestly the story was too predictable and the narrator was just okay. If I had it to do over I wouldn't use a credit on this one. I won't be listening to the rest of the series.

Mixed

I actually liked the story. However, I couldn’t properly enjoy it. I was constantly annoyed by a few things. First of all, I feel like the book would have majorly benefited by hearing both Hudson and Lanie’s POV. Second, I don’t necessarily feel that the narrator is a bad narrator. However, for this type of story, I think another should have been chosen. Third, and most distracting,was the sex language. One minute it’s flowery, the next it’s almost scientific, then more “dirty”. Sometimes it’s a mixture. It was NOT erotic. This language, mixed with the narration made it cringeworthy at times.

Transfixed

I accidentally started this series out of order with the short novellas that come near the end, so I was worried that I would have ruined the plot for myself, but that wasn’t really the case. Because the later ones i had listened to were stand-alone books, this book was more akin to listening to a prequel...only better. I liked the novellas because they were super sexy and packed a lot into a short book, so I could move through them quickly, but I didn’t like having so short a time with those characters because Paige does such a good job writing them.

In this book I really felt the compulsion pressing in on their relationship from both sides, which supercharged both the sweetness and the sexiness. The only things I didn’t like were the nicknames they gave each other—“H” and “Precious.” “H” sounds so cold when it was meant to humanize their relationship. As for “Precious,” it sounds insincere, and maybe it’s just the way Carly Robins says it each time, but I keep picturing Gollem. Robins’ man voice needs work too. I often had trouble figuring out if it was supposed to be Hudson or Alayna talking because her man voice sounded so feminine.

A new kind of CRAZY!

Why did it take me so long to read this good book of crazy!! Both characters have this secret crazy that just draws you in like an accident happening that you just can't look away from. This is the first book in the series and the ending pretty much slaps you in the face that there is more to come. Overall, I really enjoyed it and can't wait to see what happens next.

DEFINITELY! With all these Fifty Shades of Grey-esk books out, its nice to see one where the girl is far from perfect.

Carly Robin's performance was amazing. Her portrayal of the main character is perfect. She paints a perfect picture of the story.

Don't ruin this book by making it into a film please.

Honestly, I couldn't put this book down. The reason my review of this book is so short is because I am already halfway through the next. I was instantly swept away by this book.

Great "read"

I've been looking for something as appealing as 50 Shades and I've found it! Great job. I look forward to the next one
