Publisher's summary

From New York Times best-selling author Laurelin Paige, book 1 in the Fixed Trilogy

Fixed on You is the first book in a trilogy but ends without a cliffhanger. Due to mature material, it is recommended for ages 17+.

Stalking and restraining orders are a thing of Alayna Wither's past. With her MBA newly in hand, she has her future figured out - move up at the nightclub she works at and stay away from any guy who might trigger her obsessive love disorder. A perfect plan. But what Alayna didn't figure on is Hudson Pierce, the new owner of the nightclub. He's smart, rich, and gorgeous - the kind of guy Alayna knows to stay away from if she wants to keep her past tendencies in check. Except, Hudson's fixed his sights on her. He wants her in his bed and makes no secret of it. Avoiding him isn't an option after he offers a business proposition she can't turn down and she's drawn further into his universe, unable to resist his gravitational pull.

When she learns Hudson has a dark history of his own, she realizes too late that she's fallen for the worst man she could possibly get involved with. Or maybe their less than ideal pasts give them an opportunity to heal each other and finally find the love their lives have been missing.

It's like Fifty Shades - but better!

If you've read Fifty Shades of Gray, you'll recognize the story immediately. However it's different enough you won't compare the two often, and well, it's oddly better written? The characters work through issues like adults, they talk, which is a great added bonus for the leading lady having the obsessive love disorder.

If you liked Fifty Shades but were thinking - but what if? Give this series a go!

Good, but

Decent storyline, though similar to Fifty in some aspects. Need a better narrator. Her lead male and female voices were mixed up. The voices would go along ok, then the lead female voice would be used for the lead male voice. The narrator would realize the mistake, and switch mid-sentence. Quite bothersome.

Great story but need more!

The story and plot grabbed my attention, but there were a few thing preventing it from being a five star.

The relationship between Alayna and Hudson moved pretty quick. I almost didn't understand how they got to the sexual aspects before knowing anything about each other. It was more insta lust and the the "proposal".

I did like the back story of both of their "unhealthy" issues and that seemed to set them on similar levels. I liked how Paige walked me through Alayna's steps and how she continues to overcome.

The performance was ok. Often times Robins would confuse character voices which then confuses me of who was speaking. I hope that is not the case in the next book in the series.

Great trilogy! A must read for all romantics!

If you could sum up Fixed on You in three words, what would they be?

I Want Another! Meaning after the first book you need the second one and the third is a must.

What did you like best about this story?

There was always hot chemistry throughout the whole book.

What about Carly Robins’s performance did you like?

Carly Robins definitely did this series justice. She was the perfect narrator for the for characters in this book.

If you could take any character from Fixed on You out to dinner, who would it be and why?

I think I would a good sit down dinner with Jack. I feel he has a lot more insight than given credit for.

Any additional comments?

Don't stop here go ahead and get the next two. Most definitely worth the time and credit!

Such a Great Story

I read this a few years ago and decided to try the audible version. I have mixed feelings. I think Carly Robins did great at the narrating and the Laynie parts, I was really disappointed with her transition to Hudson tho. Her male voice was like prepubescent boy. Really took away from this dominant male that Is Hudson.

If you can look past that, and with Laurelin's words, it's not too hard, this book is fantastic. Such a unique and interesting spin on the "billionaire" trend. I absolutely love it.

the narrator was not the best for male part, would have preferred two different voices

Good Story

Overall, a good story. However, I would have preferred that there was a male narrator to play Hudson. Although Carly Robin's was perfect as Alaina, she did a horrible job as playing Hudson. In Carly's voice, not only did Hudson came across as feminine, but also weak, a contrast to the Hudson character the writer tried to portrayed. Additionally, it was quite tiresome to just hear Carly's voice as the insecure and whining Alaina

Great story

Hudson is one complicated man. He knows what he wants and goes after it. Alayna is one sexy smart woman. She doesn’t know what to make of Hudson at first. Loved this couple and there amazing connection.

Dragged on... predictable and kind of boring

Narrator was okay.

The plot left a lot to be desired. The story didn't have a lot of depth. No passion between the characters.
