From New York Times best-selling author Laurelin Paige, book 1 in the Fixed Trilogy
Fixed on You is the first book in a trilogy but ends without a cliffhanger. Due to mature material, it is recommended for ages 17+.
Stalking and restraining orders are a thing of Alayna Wither's past. With her MBA newly in hand, she has her future figured out - move up at the nightclub she works at and stay away from any guy who might trigger her obsessive love disorder. A perfect plan. But what Alayna didn't figure on is Hudson Pierce, the new owner of the nightclub. He's smart, rich, and gorgeous - the kind of guy Alayna knows to stay away from if she wants to keep her past tendencies in check. Except, Hudson's fixed his sights on her. He wants her in his bed and makes no secret of it. Avoiding him isn't an option after he offers a business proposition she can't turn down and she's drawn further into his universe, unable to resist his gravitational pull.
When she learns Hudson has a dark history of his own, she realizes too late that she's fallen for the worst man she could possibly get involved with. Or maybe their less than ideal pasts give them an opportunity to heal each other and finally find the love their lives have been missing.

I downloaded this book because it had great reviews and the narrator was highly rated, however, I didn't like it. Honestly the story was too predictable and the narrator was just okay. If I had it to do over I wouldn't use a credit on this one. I won't be listening to the rest of the series.
Hot romance/Sci Fi we're so lucky to have Audible to feed our book addictions. I love walking my precious dog Sydney & listening to my books
Holy crap I LOVED this book! I am pretty sure I had a huge grin on my face for at least 5 minutes after reading this book. I may have even been clutching my iPhone to my chest so that I could hold on to Hudson and Alayna just a little bit longer. If I am being completely honest I sort of obsessed over Hudson and Alayna just a little bit, but only for like a day... I couldn't get them out of my head, and I have already come up with numerous different scenarios that I think could possibly take place for book 2. I don’t think I have been obsessed with a couple like this since…..well actually I think it was Tristan and Danika and that was only last week but still. This couple is one that is going to stay with me, right on up there with Gideon and Eva; Christian and Ana and James and Bianca...
My favorite part of the book that has stayed in my head... "But it wasn't just his incomparable beauty and exquisite display of male sex that had me burning between my legs and searching for the nearest exit. It was how he looked at me, in a way that no man had ever looked at me, a hungry possessiveness present in his stare as if he not only had undressed me in his mind, but had claimed me to be sated by no one ever again except him"... Gosh, i'm drooling all over the place !! :)
I so loved the Narration by Carly Robins, the voice she uses for Hudson is soooo Very Sexy, oh Yummy... I have already grabbed book two and three and can't wait for more Sexy time with this wonderful couple :)
I can relate to Lanie a little bit. That moment of obsessing and stalking when there is a nagging feeling that something is wrong...which leads to bad decisions.... but Lanie was on another level and it worked for her. Now Hudson was all sorts of confused, how anyone can make a game out of pain and heartache is beyond me. Who knew 2 crazies can add up to sanity? Despite the 50 shades jabs, i think this was an enjoyable read worth my credit....and 1 more narrator added to my list when I go trolling for books!
Let those who you love know today, tomorrow is not promised! Life experience, Mishawn
I Want Another! Meaning after the first book you need the second one and the third is a must.
There was always hot chemistry throughout the whole book.
Carly Robins definitely did this series justice. She was the perfect narrator for the for characters in this book.
I think I would a good sit down dinner with Jack. I feel he has a lot more insight than given credit for.
Don't stop here go ahead and get the next two. Most definitely worth the time and credit!
I am a lover of books. I enjoy losing myself in a fabulous romance and great story plot.
Wow! I thought the concept and character development in this book was unique and interesting!
Laynie is definitely an unlikely heroine. In fact, in another fictional book she could very well have been the villain starring as the psychotic, obsessive ex-girlfriend. Yet, there is something vulnerable and appealing about Laynie who is very capable and smart as she recently graduated with an MBA, but who struggles with an obsessive relationship disorder that has brought her much pain and suffering. I really liked Laynie who is sincere, giving and introspective. She's cautious in her relationships as she does not want to fall into past destructive habits.
Hudson Pierce, our gorgeous CEO refers to her as "exquisitely beautiful and incredibly smart." In his proposition to Laynie, he was always up front about his desire for her, but made it clear that they were to engage in two separate realities. But, when both Laynie and Hudson have trouble keeping these realities separate, that's when this love train really starts to pick up speed!---I loved it when Hudson's own personal story and struggles emerged….Wow, talk about layering a story and making it both HOT and psychologically interesting!!! Both Hudson and Laynie have a steamy, sexy chemistry that makes it hard for them to keep their hands off of one another, and makes theirs one smoldering, erotic relationship blended with an emotionally evocative theme, due to each of their pasts.
I have to admit that initially I was turned off by certain descriptions like Laynie's frequent references to "her sex" clenching, swelling, or twitching, and then when she described her pants as being so tight that it gave her "camel toe", I was like "UMMMM NOOOO! Girl, what were you thinking????--Camel toe is NEVER sexy or attractive!!!!" LOL, I'm glad I overlooked those tiny annoyances along with others at the beginning, because as the book progressed it got really good and I became fully immersed in both the characters' struggles and ecstasies. The plot moves forward nicely with plenty of unfolding revelations and people in Laynie and Hudson's life that makes this one riveting read! I'm glad it's a trilogy to fully explore and enjoy this developing relationship between Hudson and Laynie that is ON FIRE and quite special.
Narrator: Bravo to Carly Robins!!…Wow, This woman is talented!!! She did an excellent job in conveying strong emotion in the dramatic parts, and her overall performance made this audiobook one great listening experience!
I'm a grad student with very little time to edit reviews because I'm editing research papers. Audible helps me with my book addiction.
Gee, another girl-next-door-wins-the-hot-billionare book. Wonder what this one will be like. It seems to be a running theme that these women are extremely flawed yet land the billionaire (who is flawed as well). What I wouldn't give to see a book with a strong woman who is actually a strong woman - all these books make these women seem strong then prove that wrong by their actions.
Instead of being a clumsy submissive or a sexual assault survivor, Alayna is a former stalker recovering from obsessive whatever disorder. She stalks guys. She befriends their girlfriends. She's got a restraining order against her. Now introduce her to a sociopath who makes girls fall in love with him then leaves them... instant chemistry right?
Apparently so. It's no secret from the image on the cover of this audio book that the two are going to hook up in a hot way, but you're just waiting for the disaster to happen. And yet again, as in these types of books, the billionaire changes his playboy ways and falls for Alayna - tho we keep being told he can't love, it's obvious that he can. The question is, can this idiot with an MBA keep him?
I don't use the word idiot lightly, but after listening to the whole book, her character review is pretty much in that territory. Don't get me wrong - I actually think she's an interesting protagonist - a rather flawed one at that, which makes us eager to see how she will screw things up next. Am I right? Between the sex scenes, which is the real reason you are listening to this, isn't it the conundrums this girl gets herself in to that is the main propulsion of the story?
My only problem is that she has her MBA. Why would someone who is clearly so intruding with so much business savvy be such an airhead? I wish she had been a stronger character that had the stalker flaw. But perhaps I should leave the analysis to books in other genres and just enjoy this fluff.
The main character is the least interesting character I've ever heard. She loves her body, has an MBA but has not one ounce of common sense. I can't even get through the second chapter. She's also turned on by way too many men for no reason whatsoever.
Dragonfly in Amber by Diana Gabaldon
It's not the narrator's fault that this story is so lame
All the cliched I'm so attracted stuff for no reason.
Don't waste your credit on this. It's not worth it.
These series tries to follow,50 shades and crossfire, but sadly misses it's mark. It's too predictable, the listener knows what will happen before it did.I found myself tuning out, without bothering to go back.I did not listen to any of the other books.
It promised so much but delivered so little!
The narrator, read Hudson's part using a female voice, which at times, confused me as I couldn't follow who said what.
Not for me.
I don't have time to sit and read, but I have plenty of time to sit and listen! :)
I know a lot of people will compare this to 50 shades. But isn't that what a lot of people are looking for? Well this series and couple will not disappoint. Seeing as the 4th book in the series is the delicious twist that will set this series apart from the rest.
Hudson. Doesn't his name really say it all? Well the only thing is the author doesn't spend any time making you wonder about him. He's always agreeable always the perfect man. Makes you go hmmmmm? But that leaves you with Lanie and all her insecurities that she has to overcome.
If your looking for sex, this book has plenty of it. Like once, twice.. maybe three times each chapter? I may be exaggerating but there is non-stop lust fest in this book.
The narrator is absolutely perfect for the book and she has my attention from the get go.
I started out really liking this book but then it changed after they hooked up and became more about sex and less about a plot. It became to predictable.
