I'm a 24-year-old woman who loves to read. The longer the book, the better. The Stand, The Help and The Hunger Games are my favorites.
I haven't seen the movie yet, but i loved this book and the lessons it taught. Even if you aren't a christian, this book still has meaning. I feel like lots of people could learn valuable lessons from this story. Read it! It's really good! I also enjoyed the narator. He did a good job.
Almost insulting writing here. I love the message of a marriage coming back from the brink, but this authors writing is absolutely atrocious. The narrator is one of the worst I've ever heard, even worse than many Librivox homemade recordings. I actually wouldn't recommend this to anyone, not because it's not a good story, but for fear that the good story will get tainted by the horrific execution.
So, so disappointed.
Loved the story line. Married, you cant plan on something you want with out knowing how it afacts your mate. at the end it made me cry from the joy of whats happening to the couple find joy the had when they first got married. the one reading the book do a really really great joy changing his tone for what was happen ill lesson to it again and again. over and over
To me, this was much better than the movie. It wasn't as "in your face" with the religion, and that was a good thing. This didn't feel like a bible lesson.
For me it was when Caleb confronted the Doctor. No need for violence, just go and tell him that if it's a competition he wants, then it's a competition he's got.
When she was at the store and realized who the real hero was.
Great Book and its better than the movie, even the movie was Great too.
Greg Whalen also did a Great Job narrating the book.
I would deffinitely recommend this to friends and family.
Excellent story and not to be listened to only one time. Paired with the Love Dare journal, it's an incredible resource in making a marriage work. But, you'll probably be better off going with the abridged version as the unabridged version has a lot of filler material that's not always germane to the story. But still a great story!
I loved this movie and was looking forward to listening to the book but....the NARRATOR SUCKED!!!!!!!!!!!!!
A man trying to due a womans voice, and multiply characters, not good.
He made it boring and I tried to listen to it anyways since I BOUGHT IT, but could NOT get through it, it was like pulling teeth.
Maybe when you get some real NARRATORS and more than 1 to do each person, then the book might be better.
For a 77 year old man to watch a love story is rare but I seen it 3 times. Its very well done, lots of action, no sex and bad language, Hey Hollywood take note.
