Publisher's summary

Chase Halloway's father is the president of Atlas, the drug dealing motorcycle gang that terrorizes most of our desert town.

My stepfather turns out to be a rival drug dealer, and I'm pretty sure he killed my mom two years ago.

I'm not supposed to fall in love with Chase. He's not supposed to know I even exist.

But when he finds me, he can't let go.

And when I find myself in his arms?

I hold tight.

I have to.

Because if I don't, I might just die. With or without him.

4 Protective Star’s

In this book we meet Allie; she is a little naive, a lot sweet. She is under her stepfather’s thumb.
And all she wants to do is move to L.A. to be with her sister and maybe pursue acting. Only her stepfather won’t let her, so she takes it upon herself to stash the little bit of tip money she gets, in a very unique place.

We then meet Chase, this hunky dunky has the swagger you hear about. Chase is under his father’s thumb as well his father wants him to take over the MC when its time. Only Chase has dreams too and his involve L.A. oddly enough. He sets his sites on Allie the moment he sees her. Between the chemistry and his protective instincts he wants Allie to be his.

I loved the rant Allie had about men poor girl is so confused she doesn’t know how to deal with all her feelings and the attention she is getting.
Oh dang poor Allie.. Freaking “OUCH” that wipe out had to have hurt. I cringed just listening to it!!
Chase and Allie together just works, he is sweet and crass and she is innocent and sweet. They just fit.

“Don’t worry Allie; I’ll protect you, always.”

Oh you cliff-hangers I shake my hand at you!! Lol

I am no stranger to this narrator; I like her work so this book is not different. :)

What A Surprise!

I knew when I started this story, it was going to end on a cliffhanger (and a fairly intense one at that), and the story is actually told over three short audiobooks, which I was ok with this since I knew this up front. However, what surprised me is how much I liked the first story in the series, and how much I am looking forward to listening to the other two books.

The plot moves at a steady pace, and has a Romeo and Juliet feel, because Chase and Allie, should not to be together. They both have fathers for rival MC's and being together will cause friction between the MC's. However, they are both attracted to each other and Chase pursues Allie.

Tanya Eby is great narrator, and this is the second book I've listen too today that was narrated by her. She does an EXCELLENT job narrating different stories and genres! Kudos Tanya!

Damn Shame

First impression: Finding Allie is my first introduction to Meli Raine, and I'm glad to have had the opportunity to experience Allie and Chase's story. The characters are interesting and likable. There is an instant attraction, but they're quite charming and sweet in that "young love" kind of way. There are serious obstacles and dramas they need to overcome, but they are optimistic…..

….CLIFFHANGER. Grrr…. Looks like this ONE book is going to be told in 3, 4-hour listens. Part 2 (released over 9 months ago) also ends in a cliffhanger, and the 3rd "book" isn't out at this time. Totally lame. 3 credits or $30+ for ONE 12-hour novel? Um…no. If the "trilogy" ever comes out as one anthology, then it MIGHT be worth A credit or cash. Breaking it down: Kristen Ashley's Chaos MC SERIES x 3 is totally worth 3 credits. Parts 1, 2 and 3 of A novel (ANY novel) is NOT worth 3 credits.

I fully appreciate the work it takes to write a novel and the fact that writers have a lot of their work stolen and often don't make a ton of cash. I'm cool with shorter novellas and even serials being put out as long as the story can be told in a shorter time, and the cash price is discounted to reflect the length of the listen. However, this trend of putting out a piece of a book and charging for a whole book just sucks, and I'm done with it.

Too bad. It started off great, and the writing was good, but this "trilogy" BS took it down to 1 star overall because I no longer care what happens next and am just annoyed that I have wasted my time. Sad.

Tanya Eby does a good job with Allie's youthful voice, and she also does a good job with various alpha-male bikers. She uses her tone and inflection to bring the story to life. Excellent job. Love her.

Excellent Story

I received this audiobook free for an honest review. I found this book very exciting. My first time with this author and I find Meli has all the characteristics of a great author. She gives you all the aspects of a great book that I like. She sets the story up from the first and grabs you and doesn't let go. She builds the story, the characters, the suspense, the romance to a point you become absorbed. I was disappointed when the story ended, but I jumped into the next one immediately. Just so I could follow Chase and Allie's relationship. Tanya Eby did an excellent job with the characters. She has a knack for distinguishing the male and female voices as well as the inflection in her voice to represent the mood and actions of the characters. Love this book!

Love a good MC romance!

I received a copy of Finding Allie by Meli Raine for free in exchange for my honest review.

I love, love, love MC romance. This one is no different. Such an instantly steamy story between the main characters, Chase and Allie. I will be listening to part two very quickly. I can't wait to find out what happens next!

4 huge stars...

This is an exciting and fast paced book about finding love. A young woman of age meets a biker & it is a rough road from here. Step Dad doesn't help the situation either. I enjoyed the story very much. This story has a cliffhanger, which doesn't really bother me as it gives me something to look forward too. The material is original and refreshing and even has suspense added in.

This is my first read by the author, Meli Raine. I look forward to continuing on with this adventure. The narrator, Tanya Eby did a good job delivering this story with multiple voices and emotions are spot on.

I won this audiobook in a giveaway today. It sounded so good, I just had to listen to it right away!

Motorcycle Club I Love!

Redemption for the MC crowd! I had decided to stop listening to my motorcycle club books because of the over-the-top graphic degradation of women, language and overall filth. I always felt like I needed a shower when I finished one (see my other reviews.)

However, in rides Meli Raine with her fantastic performer, Tanya Eby to save the day.

Ellie was raised by her stepfather who owns a local bar. One night an MC=Motorcycle Club with all of their scary looking members. Wait a minute, there is one member who is young, sexy, and handsomes! His name is Chase Holloway and his dad, the president of Atlas an MC in the area. Despite fighting it, Allie & Chase are magnetically drawn to one another. No matter how they try, they cannot deny the pull.

What obstacles will they face in this THREE part series? Will they be able to overcome their own personal heartache without adding to one another's burdens? And what the heck is going to happen if Allie's stepfather and Chase's dad find out that they are together?

This book isn't without strong language or mature themes but it is toned way down and it doesn't take away from the story at all.

Tanya Eby is a wonderful performer. Her ability to perform male characters as well as female characters is important to me. She is able to do it seamlessly. Thank you and great job.

This series is off to a great start

I really enjoyed the innocence about this story. Allie is sweet and sheltered. Having grown up under the rule of her overbearing stepfather, now she is craving freedom. She is ready to spread her wings and fly. Chase Halloway enters Allie’s world in perfect timing. He’s cool, calm and confident. Like Allie, his world is planned out for him and he wants to break free.

I loved the immediate attraction these two had. They have a silent understanding about their hopes and dreams. Going after what they want in life. Can they be each other’s salvation?

The soft and sultry grumble of Tanya Eby’s voice was the perfect portrayal. I thoroughly enjoyed her narration telling Alli's story with a little bit of grit behind each word.

I look forward to continuing this series.
