When literature student Anastasia Steele goes to interview young entrepreneur Christian Grey, she encounters a man who is beautiful, brilliant, and intimidating. The unworldly, innocent Ana is startled to realize she wants this man and, despite his enigmatic reserve, finds she is desperate to get close to him. Unable to resist Ana’s quiet beauty, wit, and independent spirit, Grey admits he wants her, too - but on his own terms.

Shocked yet thrilled by Grey’s singular erotic tastes, Ana hesitates. For all the trappings of success - his multinational businesses, his vast wealth, his loving family - Grey is a man tormented by demons and consumed by the need to control. When the couple embarks on a daring, passionately physical affair, Ana discovers Christian Grey’s secrets and explores her own dark desires.

This audiobook is intended for mature audiences.

Hmm it was interesting

It was very interesting. Everyone has their sex life. Everyone does it different. I think it was pretty good. It made sex sound more entertainment:)

OH SO BAD narration

The storyline definately envelopes you and you will not want to put THE BOOK down. Narration, however, will make you just go buy the book. I have purchased all three on audible, the it galls me too, as I need to "listen" with no time to read. Oh, help me endure the performance! I just don't know if I can.

Spicy book

The performance is bad. The male voices are not Becca Battoe' s thing. It was hard to match Christian Grey’s description with his voice.
The story was spicy. I usually listen on my car. Best way to forget about traffic. Some parts were very explicit (can really make you gasp) and made awkward and somehow funny to look on the car right on my side. I really got curious about the subject and even googled more about the whole S&M thing. Christian Grey is a fascinating character. If this book really turns to a movie, I am very curious to see who will play his role. It got be someone with a high sex appeal. Anastasia Steel is a very naive character. Maybe way too naive, this makes some of her self thinking a little boring. But is a worth to try book and made me want to read the second one.

Love the story ... HOT! The narator was not great

Where does Fifty Shades of Grey rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?

So far, this is probably second in place. It was hot, steamy and great listening, but the narrator was not great.

What did you like best about this story?

It was intense.

Which character – as performed by Becca Battoe – was your favorite?

I didn't like Becca Battoe ...

If you were to make a film of this book, what would be the tag line be?

When and innocent, smart young lady meets a suave, but damaged billionaire, love can be painful in the most sadistic ways ...

Any additional comments?

Loved the story ... not sure I will buy anymore if Becca Battoe is the narrator.

Horrible narration

I enjoy these books. However, I couldn’t enjoy the story because I was too busy mocking the narrator. She whined the entire story.

50 shades of wow!!

This is a gut wretching story of trying to love someone who has deep rooted emotional problems. aside from the s&m sexual scenes, this is a riveting story of unattainable love. it was amazing!

Have to Agree - Should have been Re-Recorded

I rarely give up on listening to something I have purchased...but I did on this one. Story is mediocre and simplistic and the narration is distracting. Gave up after a couple of hours.

My inner Goddess says leave the red room of pain

Would you say that listening to this book was time well-spent? Why or why not?

Anna is a clumsy innocent. Grey deflowers her, beats her and all she can say is "oh my". I got caught up in the story even though I don' like the storyline. Time well spent--no. I should be washing dishes or mopping the floor. Wait I can do those things and listen to my audible.

Did the narration match the pace of the story?

At first I couldn't stand the girlish voice of the narrator, but now I'm like okay Valley Girl.

Did Fifty Shades of Grey inspire you to do anything?

Not read the others but I probably will just to see how it ends.

Any additional comments?

This is a romantic, soft porn story of rich, beautiful people. A long step from my reality. Guess that's why I'm listening to it.
