the reader made the book, also, the writer was able to portray the maturing of Anna

the part where she had to get the and deliver the money to Jack, followed by her recovery and Christian's concern

this book is not for everyone, but I could imagine a couple reading it together

Despite all of the negative comments of this book I bought it anyway and I'm very pleased that I did.

What did you love best about Fifty Shades of Grey?

FSOG is the first love story that incorporated the BDSM with class and kept me wanting more!

What other book might you compare Fifty Shades of Grey to and why?

There is no other book I've read/listened to that comes close. There are reviews of Bare To You...in which people have compared to FSOG. But in my opinion, NOT!!!

Which character – as performed by Becca Battoe – was your favorite?

Ana Steele. I would have liked to hear a more commanding Christian.

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

This book made me buy the next in the series before I finished it. No crying, but I did shout out loud a few times with laughter as I agreed with Ana's subconscious.

I can't wait for the movie!!

Better to read it

I have to say I loved reading the book and it had been a while back an then saw the movie an decided to listen to the book this time. I had a hard time getting thru the audio of it. You don't realize how many times she says "oh my" and always talking to her conscious and her under goodness. Nail if coffin for me was the reading of all the letters. It added 5 hours to the book I swear reading to, time, date, subject, actual short sentence email then the signature. Just was way to time consuming. Love the series don't love the audio.

If you're not getting any...yes. It's great for the libido. A literary work of genius? No.

How would you have changed the story to make it more enjoyable?

To many repetitive discriptive words. Mercurial, Exquisite....ugh!

What do you think the narrator could have done better?

Kind of whiney. I'd like someone that doesn't sound like Bella in the Twilight Films.

If you were to make a film of this book, what would be the tag line be?

If you liked "9 1/2 Weeks" you'll love "50 Shades of Grey!"

Good for the sex...story line is flat.

I truly enjoyed this book. The narrator was great but it took sometime for me to get use to her narrating Christian's part .

Fifty Shades of an Amazing Story!! - Loved it!

Where does Fifty Shades of Grey rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?

This has been my first book using the audible.com and I am hooked up! I love the way the person is narrating the story. I am okay with the sexuan content, but it is not the main focus of the story; it is more about Christian and Ana and how they fall in love. A great story that keeps you wanting to listen more and more... If you download the first book, you must do the second at the same time!!

Who was your favorite character and why?

Ana and Christian - All the craziness and their love, problems, and how they deal with the whole situation.

What about Becca Battoe’s performance did you like?

Everything... she narrated the story wonderful. So, great that it will be hard for me to get used to others, but I am on my final book, so I must look for a good narrator.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

Yes!! I couldn't stop listening and didn't want it to finish neither!

60 second review: Trilogy comments & Book 1

Let me first say, I've listened to the entire trilogy in less than 7 days.

That said, without giving anything away, I will give a brief review of what to expect, because you can't just listen/ read one. Once you're in, you're in for three.

FIRST, the narrator bugged the crap out of me the first book. Her male impressions sounded comical and the main character, Ana, sounded of a very naive Disney character. However, since (as you probably know) this book has a lot of explicit detailing, it's soon realized Battoe reads the excerpts perfectly.

The story is addictive-- like I said, I've finished it within a week. The first book was my favorite. It's raw, complicated and very sexy. This is definitely a NSFW book, as you may get some stares as you're caught wide-eyed and biting your lip.

My opinion

This was my first audio book and I enjoyed it were much. I just wish the books I wanted were a little cheeper I don't always have time to read so this was handy I just had to listen and the girl who read the book was very clear and easy to understand thank you for the chance to try
