When literature student Anastasia Steele goes to interview young entrepreneur Christian Grey, she encounters a man who is beautiful, brilliant, and intimidating. The unworldly, innocent Ana is startled to realize she wants this man and, despite his enigmatic reserve, finds she is desperate to get close to him. Unable to resist Ana’s quiet beauty, wit, and independent spirit, Grey admits he wants her, too - but on his own terms.

Shocked yet thrilled by Grey’s singular erotic tastes, Ana hesitates. For all the trappings of success - his multinational businesses, his vast wealth, his loving family - Grey is a man tormented by demons and consumed by the need to control. When the couple embarks on a daring, passionately physical affair, Ana discovers Christian Grey’s secrets and explores her own dark desires.

This audiobook is intended for mature audiences.

Predictible but i liked it.

If you could sum up Fifty Shades of Grey in three words, what would they be?

Sexual-fun- sexual

What was one of the most memorable moments of Fifty Shades of Grey?

all the experience's in the red room of pain.

What does Becca Battoe bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

More emotion, at first wasn't sure about Rebecca, but over all the books she did a fine job.

If you were to make a film of this book, what would be the tag line be?

Its already been made " Fifty Shades Baby"

Any additional comments?

Interesting read opens up different romantic world. Can change a persons view on sexual activities. Love a happy ending. Some what disappointed in Anna's charater. I know naieve is probably what Author was going for, Anna being virgin and all. Would of liked her to have had some 50 shades issues also. Showing them working on issues together. etc, Maybe more inter action with Dr Flynn. Different senerio with Jack. possible where he actually gets her, and Christian must work through that. They must work through. I know everones a critic. Enjoy your listen!

Amazinginly enthralling!

What did you love best about Fifty Shades of Grey?

I was absolutely captivated. Teased. Excited. Could NOT put it down. I may need to have a talk with my husband! LOL

What did you like best about this story?

It was dark and romantic.

What does Becca Battoe bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

She has a very soothing voice. To hear that voice describe such dark matter was captivating.

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

Absolutely! It turned me on and opened my eyes to a side of myself I had NEVER even imagined existed. I cannot put into words it's full effect on me.

Wet and Juicy, makes me want to try new things

If you could sum up Fifty Shades of Grey in three words, what would they be?

Erotic, juicy, detailed

What was one of the most memorable moments of Fifty Shades of Grey?

The ending where I kept thinking really, this is how it ends. Made me start the second book immediately

What about Becca Battoe’s performance did you like?

I wasn't fond of her style initially. She eventually grew on me. She reminded me of a valley girl-esque style, but later one I figured it mirrored the college aged tone as well.

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

It made me..... to hot to handle this one.

Any additional comments?

Read it. So many thoughts about the first book, but really it comes down to wanting to find my own Christian. Can't wait for this to be made into a movie, but afraid it's going to be too tame which destroys the integrity of the book and the emotion it envokes

Narrator is HORRIBLE! She ruins the story!

Would you try another book from E. L. James and/or Becca Battoe?

probably not

What do you think your next listen will be?

California Gold Rush

Would you be willing to try another one of Becca Battoe’s performances?

ABSOLUTELY NOT!!!!!

Any additional comments?

THe narrator in this book absolutely ruined the whole story for me, and when she tried to lower her voice to sound like a man, it made the whole story seem RIDICULOUS!!! What a waste of time and money!

Very Enjoyable

What is there to say? The writing is hilarious and the narrator commits to the material, making this an entertaining listen. The “Inner Goddess” moments were some of the best. Really ridiculous and pretty fun.

Well written and keeps your interest

Would you listen to Fifty Shades of Grey again? Why?

The first book in this series is very well written, all along you are rooting for Ana to gain her own identity and not get lost in Christians. You worry for her, feel for her and want her happiness as it is easy to relate to. I would listen and read again for sure and couldn't wait to get to the other books in the series.

What was one of the most memorable moments of Fifty Shades of Grey?

The end

Which scene was your favorite?

The last scene when she is so strong.

If you were to make a film of this book, what would be the tag line be?

I don't know.

"One word- Amazing!"

What other book might you compare Fifty Shades of Grey to and why?

Twilight series. In their own way they both illustrate that true love can conquer all, including the baggage we all bring to a relationship.

Any additional comments?

Absolutely love these books. Audiobooks always produce a deeper and fuller connection with the characters and story. When I was done with this series I missed Ana and Christian, so much so, I started listening to them again. I have 100+ audiobooks and these are the only ones I have listened to twice!"Oh my" is engraved in my mind, including the sensual intonation. Becca Battoe provides a very believable naive and innocent Ana.

Horrible narration!! Buy the books.

Would you try another book from E. L. James and/or Becca Battoe?

Becca Battoe's reading of this series is hardly tolerable. Her voice is annoyingly breathy and, at times, whiney. Her portrayal of every character is distractingly bad (and I can't help but think her tone isn't always what the author intended). Don't bother listening to this, just buy the books instead!
