Look for E L James’s passionate new love story, The Mister, available now.

When unworldly student Anastasia Steele first encountered the driven and dazzling young entrepreneur Christian Grey it sparked a sensual affair that changed both of their lives irrevocably. Shocked, intrigued, and, ultimately, repelled by Christian’s singular erotic tastes, Ana demands a deeper commitment. Determined to keep her, Christian agrees. Now, Ana and Christian have it all—love, passion, intimacy, wealth, and a world of possibilities for their future. But Ana knows that loving her Fifty Shades will not be easy, and that being together will pose challenges that neither of them would anticipate.

Ana must somehow learn to share Christian’s opulent lifestyle without sacrificing her own identity. And Christian must overcome his compulsion to control as he wrestles with the demons of a tormented past. Just when it seems that their strength together will eclipse any obstacle, misfortune, malice, and fate conspire to make Ana’s deepest fears turn to reality.

This book is intended for mature audiences.

It is what it is

For all that the writing is a bit childish, it has it's moments of bizarre fascination. Becca Battoe's voice really highlights all that is wrong with the book, so that's a negative. On the positive side, there is something engrossing about watching these two characters come together despite themselves.

Couldn't even finish it...

I've read the book before, no problem there. The storyline is as expected with any other 50 Shades book. The narrator, however, is awful. Her Christian voices are atrocious. "Ohhh Anna!" is something a never want to hear again. Her voice is way too high to try to drop down to a male octave. It comes out sounding like a, raspy, burnt out surfer who just got thrashed by a huge wave and is now laying on the shore dying. And that's not hot. Sooo disappointed. waste of $17 for sure.

Annoying Voice

Would you consider the audio edition of Fifty Shades Freed to be better than the print version?

I love 50 Shades of Grey, but Becca Battoe voice is not compatible She does not sound sensual are at all like Anna should sound in my opinion and it is kind of ruining the listen for me such a let down.

Would you be willing to try another one of Becca Battoe’s performances?

NO!
