Publisher's summary

When female wolf shifter Taryn Warner first encounters Trey Coleman, an alpha male wolf shifter with a dangerous reputation, she’s determined to resist his charms. After all, Trey - who was only fourteen when he defeated his own father in a duel, winning the right to be alpha of his pack - can’t have anything to offer the talented healer besides trouble, or so she thinks. Taryn finds herself drawn in by Trey’s forceful demeanor and arctic-blue eyes, and she eventually agrees to enter an uneasy alliance with him. If the two succeed in convincing their respective packs that they’ve chosen each other as mates, Trey will win valuable political allies, while Taryn will escape an odious arranged mating.

But there are a lot of potential pitfalls to this plan - including the very real possibility that the wolf shifters, overwhelmed by their growing attraction to each other, will be unable to maintain the clear heads needed to pull off the deception.

Thank god for a decently strong female character.

Honestly,

Very refreshing. For a boarder line dom/sub book... the main character is wicked strong, smart, and hilarious.

wonder book, terrible narrator

I have read this book many times. love the book however the narrator wasn't a fit for this book.
awkward pauses, weird ass voices, wrong pronunciation of words. I like her voice just not her interpretation of the characters. It's almost like she didn't grasp what the story was or she didn't read it before she started.

Stupid Games

I HATE authors that take the easy way out, trying to increase drama by relying on characters that don't/ won't communicate. Why doesn't he/ she, why can't he/ she, if only he/ she...... boring and unnecessary.

Great, once I got into it

I almost didn’t finish this book. There is a LOT of swearing. I don’t find the F-word to be romantic at all, yet every other word coming out of the heroine’s mouth it that or worse. But she grew on me. She is a strong woman overcoming insurmountable odds. And I eventually fell in love with her. Some times I wish I could tell people off with that much pizzazz. Now I can’t wait for the next book in The series, although I do hope to hear less swearing

As for the audio version, which is what I had, the reader was great. The pace was perfect. I hope she does all the books in this series.

Great read with a strong story.

Wonderfully, funny, snarky, sexy, and strong romance for the Alpha female in all of us.

For all you Alpha females out there looking for a strong man that will accept you just the way you are, this book is for you!
Taryn is the strong, don’t give a flip, hard nosed, no nonsense, don’t take any crap off anyone, gal that everyone is intimidated by.
Unlike most shifter type romance novels, she isn’t broken or needing of rescue, and is starving for the one thing we all want. A man that’s stronger than her in every way but accepts her just the way she is! I loved every minute of this book! I am definitely looking forward to reading the rest of this series and see just how Suzanne Wright will bring the rest of the characters to life!
The kick that made it even better as an audiobook was the narration! Kudos to Jill Redfield for a smooth and well blended reading of this book. Most audiobooks are less appreciated by myself due to monotoned reading or how the voice just doesn’t seem to match the character in the book. Jill Redfield really made the audio portion of this book the best part. From different characters to the smooth transition between moods, it is definitely worth the extra $ for the audio version!

Fated Mates Shifter Romance

This book was recommended to me by a good friend and I am so glad I read it. There is just something about a fated mates trope that gets me every time. This shifter romance was different than others I read as the world and roles in their shifter world were already established. There was no discovery of shifters or trying to keep their gifts a secret from regular humans which was kinda cool.

The characters communicated well with each other I didn't feel that the drama was created due to extended miscommunication or failure to communicate. The female characters, especially Taryn were fierce and feisty and a lot of fun to read.

Trigger warning for some dub con. This was a fun Shifter book and I thought the narration by Jill Redfield was really well performed.

5 Stars - Funny / Steamy & Credit Worthy !!

Would you listen to Feral Sins again? Why?

This is one of my favorite shifters book. I'd definitely listed to it again. The plot was funny & the sex scene were very steamy with out being raunchy.

Who was your favorite character and why?

My favorite character was Taryn. But I also liked Trey (Sexy Alpha), Greta (Trey's Grandma), & Dante (Beta) Taryn wasn't a naive girl with no common sense. Her insults were hilarious. The only thing I didn't like was her dirty talk during sex. It was a bit to vulgar & over the top. Narration was awesome and a pleasant to listed to

Which scene was your favorite?

Taryn was in the kitchen eating breakfast & Selma (the pack's barbie doll with a bad attitude) came rushing in talking smack about about Taryn & Trey mating together. Selma didn't want Taryn joining their pack. Selma said the wrong thing, pissing Taryn off and out of no where Taryn punched her in the face. She fell with a big boom, breaking dishes on the way down. The pack came running from the family room into the kitchen to see what was going on. Selma was on the floor holding her nose. When they asked what happened,Taryn said "I don't know, I think she fell ".....

Any additional comments?

Definitely Credit Worthy - But I listened to it for free through my Kindle Unlimited subscription.

Perfect start to a smart shifter series. Clever and classy dialogue.

Trey and Taryn are two wolf shifters who have been damaged by parental mistreatment. They work up a plan to pretend to be true mates in order to
gain control over their own lives. The world and character development is special. Very funny, sexy and uplifting. Narrator is spectacular, all voices are unique.
