Publisher's summary

When female wolf shifter Taryn Warner first encounters Trey Coleman, an alpha male wolf shifter with a dangerous reputation, she’s determined to resist his charms. After all, Trey - who was only fourteen when he defeated his own father in a duel, winning the right to be alpha of his pack - can’t have anything to offer the talented healer besides trouble, or so she thinks. Taryn finds herself drawn in by Trey’s forceful demeanor and arctic-blue eyes, and she eventually agrees to enter an uneasy alliance with him. If the two succeed in convincing their respective packs that they’ve chosen each other as mates, Trey will win valuable political allies, while Taryn will escape an odious arranged mating.

But there are a lot of potential pitfalls to this plan - including the very real possibility that the wolf shifters, overwhelmed by their growing attraction to each other, will be unable to maintain the clear heads needed to pull off the deception.

Enough with the attempt of sarcastic one liners

Had great potential but the main female character with the constant one liners and really ridiculous come backs that I guess are intended to be comic relief but it got old fast and took away from the story. Really dumbed the entire story down.

Growl - ONE syllable!

I didn't read this until I was a few books into the Mercury Pack series. I got tired of all the references to past happenings so gave up and collected the Phoenix Pack too. It's very clear this is her first: it's 14 hours long, and if you were to take out all the sex scenes, you'd have no more than 4 hours of story. Probably less! The second-last scene alone dragged on for so long I ended up skipping a few minutes just to get back to the story.

The series gets better. It's worth holding out for. I like to read about the hang-ups/insecurities pretty people have. Possessive love isn't exactly something that I've found attractive personally, and by the time I've listened to half a dozen or so of these books I'm kind of tired of it. They start to sing the same tunes: you can chant along with the characters for all the guttural phrases they use during the sex scenes.

Jill Redfield isn't an exceptional narrator. She gives the lead a low, slow husky voice throughout the entire book, even if this character had a more interesting tone/characterisation in different books where he played a minor role. Then there's the most commonly repeated word in the entire series: growl. Jill gives it two syllables - every time! She says, "grou - wall". So frustrating to listen to.

That being said, she does give other characters good characteristics and I love the way she shouts as necessary.

If I hadn't started with the Mercury Pack, I don't think I'd have gone past this first book, let alone the others in this series.

Awesome

I love the narration! Ms. Redfield is awesome. The inflections, of her voice for the characters? Amazing!

too graphic too much profanity just hardcore

I struggle through it because it was just too much hardcore p*** it wasn't what I expected . i skipped part of it because I just couldn't take it anymore . after suffering through the middle I just wanted to know how the story ended. and the ending was decent it was just too much sex in it for me not that I'm a prude but the choice of words that they were using doing these sexual encounters prevented me from being able to really enjoy the intimate scenes. not for me but yes I can see some people would enjoy the book but I I didn't it was a lot of F words a lot of profanity and a lot of

Good Story - a Bit Overboard

If you could sum up Feral Sins in three words, what would they be?

The storyline was good, but I fast-forwarded thru much of the intimate scenes as they were a very poor attempt at 'steamy'. The sexual bantering of all characters and the general spitfire comments from Taryn were too immature and childish for my taste.

What was the most interesting aspect of this story? The least interesting?

The mystery of who the informant was going to be.

FAN FREAKING TASTIC

By FAR one of the best books I've read not only for the story itself but because the narrator made it seem more alive than any other book I've read so far. 20/10 absolutely brilliant.
