good book

enjoyed the story line. the production was not the quality that I'm used to. lots of gaps and pauses. this should not reflect on the author or reader, just the production crew.

Reading quality

I enjoyed this story very much. The vocal timbre of the reading is excellent. That said, however, the reading is filled with long pauses that sometimes made me feel the recording had stopped for some reason and always made me silently urge the reader to “get on with it!”

Recommended

This is very definitely a Christian romantic suspense story. I emphasize christian because it is a prominent element in this story. I am a strong christain and am familiar with the climate but even that isn't as pervasive. Everyone talked about going to church without regard for how long they have know them. It was just a bit over the top and not at all realistic.

The story was interesting and held my attention from the beginning. The author made good use of foreshadowing and the characterization was excellent. Some of the technical aspects of the story reminded me of tv rather than real world but if it works there ... why not here?

A matter of life, love or death

This was an exciting tale of developing romance through dangerous times, involving murder, kidnapping and a wild search for the victim. The author reveals each character's story which explains their motives and actions. A good read.

Great story OK narrator

Henderson's airy telling is superb. Suspenseful, engaging, romantic. The narrator was a poor choice delivering emotional lines in a matter of fact tone. Excellent book though!

His to protect...

U.S. Marshal Jake Taylor has only just arrived home from a tense assignment when he receives a call from his boss.

A call that will change his life and shatter his beliefs. His next assignment puts him on a collision course with his best friends widow.

Jake must now protect Federal Judge Liz Michaels, the woman he blames for his best friends death. He vows to do his duty whilst keeping an emotional distance. But as he spends more time with her he begins to wonder if he knew the whole story.

As danger closes in he begins to wonder if its is not only her life at stake but his heart.

I enjoyed listening to this well written little gem of an action thriller, which Brian's narration brought to life. I discovered this book on Audible Escape.

Hated when I had to stop listening!

Where does Fatal Judgment rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?

It is #1, although I haven't listened to very many audiobooks. It is a great book.

What was one of the most memorable moments of Fatal Judgment?

It's too hard to pick just one.

What does Brian Hutchinson bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

A definite voice for eacher character. I always hear them with a different voice when I read a book, but he gave them a real voice.
