The narrator was one if the best I've heard. Kept me guessing til the end. Sandra still remains at the top of my list of authors.

Where does Fat Tuesday rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?

Near the top in this genre. Fantastic!

What did you like best about this story?

Just when you think you have it figured it out-there is a twist that knocks the book into another direction. They come fast and furious near the end-to a fantastic ending!

    Which scene was your favorite?

When Burke's old, Cajun pal Dread (sorry if the name is misspelled-audio book!) 'takes care' of the two thug sent by Pinky. It was pretty clever, but gory.

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

The clever ways that Burke and his pals dealt with the Pinky and his pals.

    Any additional comments?

Fun, clever book...a bit of romance, lots of action - very enjoyable and plausible (the scenarios COULD have unfolded as written)!

Note: Parts were a bit graphic (in the gory sense.)

    "Just OK"

An abridged version of this would be terrific. I found myself thinking "get on with it" or "who cares" so often in this book that it really dulled the enjoyment of it.

Where does Fat Tuesday rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?

at the top. I was hooked from the beginning

What other book might you compare Fat Tuesday to and why?

I really can't compare it to anything. It's a great book, the story gets you from the beginning and keep you interested. The ending is something you don't see coming ang doesn't let you down.

Have you listened to any of Jack Garrett’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

This is the first I've heard of his. He nailed every accent.

I hated myself for enjoying this but if you want a lightweight read that does not require a lot of your attention while you shop or clean on the weekends, then this book is for you. The characters are cut-out but the plot moves rapidly if not somewhat improbably. And you learn a little about life in the Louisiana swamps.
