Crazy Connections

Love Jennifer Crusie books and Sandra Burr did an excellent job with narration.So many dips,turns,spins and blips could make anyone go a little crazy and need some Amaretto with her milk.What a crazy,fun story,murder,mystery and tons of flirting.A cute dog,some fries with vinegar and plenty of chinaware.You've got a total nuthouse full of characters.I highly recommend this book.Can't describe how good it was to listen to,you have to experience it for your self.

Started out a little slow BUT...

I have to say that at first I wasn't that thrilled with this book, it started a bit slow for me. I have to agree with someone else that at first the narrator's voices for the men got on my nerves but then the story really started to take shape and I have to say I couldn't put it down! It was more than just a romance novel, it was about great friendships, family, life, love, etc. I will continue to read more books from this author. Trust me give this book a chance and you will fall in love with it!

Loving the Laughs

Call me crazy but I have yet to find a Crusie novel I didn't like - no LOVE. She writes like Evanovich - off beat characters, quirky plots and laugh out loud insanity. Sandra Burr captures those characters nicely. Guaranteed enjoyment.

Too Fun! Unexpected and Captivating!

Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?

Fast Women was a "can't put down" , "gotta see what happens next" adventure of fun! The characters are very likable, and their interactions and relationships with one another are deliciously tangled. This book was slightly reminicent of Stephanie Plum. I would love to have seen this book as the first in a series, and know without a doubt that I would have sped through them all.
Jennifer Cruise is an amazing storyteller, placing the reader in the very rooms/situations with the characters, and Sandra Burr does a very good job with her narration, animating each personality.
I was left wanting more of Fast Women! Definitely worth the credit!

Hated to see it end...

Fast Women started off a little slow to the point where I actually stopped listening for a few days. I started back with it and it suddenly was interesting and fun. I thoroughly enjoyed listening each day going to and from work. I actually looked forward to the drive.

The storyline was a little far fetched but it was intriguing. The narrator spoiled it somewhat to me. Her voices did not truly fit the characters. It was somewhat distracting. I think a different narrator would make a huge difference in this particular story.

Overall, though, it was a fun book that was well worth purchasing.

It was for me because I rather listen than read.

Yes.

I wanted to love this...

I liked the style of the writing. I liked the narrator. There were times I laughed out loud. But, really, there were times I didn't care much for the main character of the book. Someone like her would drive me crazy in real life w/that kind of pushiness and disregard for other's feelings.

good plot.

too much wishy washy but the plot was good and the story was read wonderfully.

Too fast for me

I didn't enjoy this one as much as I did some of her other books...this one had too many fast women! Just too much "bed jumping" for my taste. Sex partners seem to be incidental to these characters.
