The Dark-Hunter Series is definitely worth it

I am a really big fan of the Dark Hunter Series. I began reading the books out of order and back tracked but they are truly good. The first two books set up the characters they are good but they get better as you learn more about the characters and by the third book you have a better understanding of where the series is headed and will definitely be hooked. I began reading this series over 5 years ago and the new books still hold my interest. I have been disappointed in one or two of the books but the authors style of writing doesn't bore you. Good Series of books.

Hokey Narrator; Good Story

Not the greatest narrator. However, I was able to overlook that because I was really interested in the story. Give it a try. I'm glad I did.

The book, overall, was good. There were many parts that made me smile and others that tried my patience. If you're looking for a plot with mega action and tons of passion, this probably isn't the books for you. I would describe this book as slow and steady. It didn't grab me and hook me for the series necessarily, but I am interested enough to give it another try.

About the narrator.....I'm a bit up in the air about her. The author describes Julian as a Greek man whose sex appeal and accent is irresistible. I felt that the narrator made his accent almost Russian and forced. His voice should have been smoother, huskier, and more seductive. Additionally, I wasn't too impressed with Grace's voice either. I kept getting contradictory images of her in my head of a young, creole black woman and a middle-aged gypsy white woman.

Would I recommend this book? Well, it wouldn't be my first recommendation to someone new to audible, but if you're like me and have listened to enough audiobooks to have an open mind, then yes, I would recommend this book.

Sexual chemistry and mythology!!

SPOILERS!!!

Julian is trapped in a book and gets summoned out for 30 days to pleasure the one who summoned him. But instead of the summoner taking him up on his sexual advances, she tries to find a way to break the curse he is under that keeps him in the book.
My first book into Sherrilyn Kenyon's dark hunter world and I loved every minute of it.
I've read many complaints about the narration but I had no issue with it. I think she did a fine job narrating this book. I would definitely recommend!!

Where does Fantasy Lover rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?

This was a lot more Steamy than I thought it would be! I believe I found a new series.
