Publisher's summary

I wasn't always in love with Colton Calloway; I was in love with his younger brother, Kyle, first. Kyle was my first one true love, my first in every way. Then, one stormy August night, he died, and the person I was died with him.

Colton didn't teach me how to live. He didn't heal the pain. He didn't make it okay. He taught me how to hurt, how to not be okay, and, eventually, how to let go.

Nell Hawthorne is in love with her life-long best friend, Kyle Calloway. Their young love is invincible and life is full of promise; then one night Kyle dies suddenly in a tragic accident and Nell is forever changed. She meets Kyle's older brother, Colton, for the first time at the funeral. They both struggle to move on with life as best they can. Years later, they meet again in New York City, and Colton realizes that Nell has never really gotten over Kyle's death. She seems to be harboring a deeply rooted pain, a heavy weight of guilt, and regret. He knows he shouldn't get involved, but he can't help himself. Trust doesn't come easily for either of them, and they both have demons. Together, they learn the purpose of pain and the meaning of healing, and the importance of forgiveness.

Suspense, romance, sadness, joy and LOVE!

Where does Falling into You rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?

I wish I could give "Falling into You" more than 5 stars. I truly enjoyed this book and will read it many times. I loved the characters and felt their emotions that spanned the spectrum from desperation to desire. I fell in love with them! I shed many tears along with them. If you are thinking of buying this book don't think twice. "Just do it!" I loved the song at the end of the book. Nice touch! Great song!

What did you like best about this story?

The need that Nell and Colt had for each other even before they knew it themselves. Two broken souls finding each other.

Which scene was your favorite?

I loved the whole book. But, one scene would be when Nell found Colt playing his guitar on the rooftop before sunrise and the discussion they had.

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

I cried. However, they felt like cleansing tears more than sadness. The author truly brought the characters into my heart and mind.

Any additional comments?

Gabriel Vaughan did a fantastic job. What a voice! I would love to see this novel on Broadway! Someone, please, write the screenplay.

Abstinence

There was not enough sexual content for the book to be so long. Great story line. Bravo! Best one yet.

OMG what a tear jerker but it was great listen

Where does Falling into You rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?

I honestly put off hearing this book as I knew it was going to be emotionally wrenching so with a package of kleenex I starting listening and was gripped right off the start. It evokes memories of your first High School love and giving up your v card to a boy you thought you would love forever. I liked that it had some twists that I never seen coming

What did you like best about this story?

I loved the whole thing but that song at the end of the book should be recorded. and sold on cd. If that is the author singing the song She is one talented gal as it is a beautiful haunting song that I had to listen to over and over! i bought all three books in this series and I'm hoping the other 2 books will let me know what happens to Colt and Nell after the ending of the first book. Hopefully only good times as they have had enough sadness for one lifetime.

What about Gabriel Vaughan and Piper Goodeve ’s performance did you like?

they both were great and made the book come alive. Piper's performance at the tree incident made it all so real and gut wrencing

If you were to make a film of this book, what would the tag line be?

Happy Endings are sometimes only achieved after profound sadness which makes you appreciate it all the more

Very good but could have been so much better

I'm conflicted with different thoughts and emotions as I try to describe this book. First of all I really liked it; as in I listened to it within 24 hours and actually lost sleep because I wanted to know what would happen next. But at the same time I felt like I listened to two different books. The first half of the book gives us the story of Nell and her first teenage love Kyle. He was her first everything and it is a sweet romantic story that ends very tragically with Kyle dying of a freak accident in front of Nell. She is traumatized by the experience and completely consumed by grief. Up to that point the story was a nice PG 13 romance.

Then the second half of the book does a 180 and turns all 50 shades of strange. First she meets Kyle's brother who she kisses within a day of her boyfriend dying (strange), then an incredible coincidence has Nell and Colton meeting two years later in NY and they start playing music. Colton is completely in love at second sight with Nell and follows her to her apartment. The romance goes from PG 13 to X pretty quickly and then it feels like a totally different story of two damaged people finding redemption and love in each other. There was a lot of drama, more loss and them accepting their perfectly imperfect lives and love.

If you don't overanalyze the holes in the story you will absolutely love it. The narration was very good because the story has dual points of view and the narrators nailed the emotion needed to bring the story to life. I recommend it.

If you're into porn

Weak character development and lots of hard core porn. Not a fan. I'm not getting any more from this author.
