Publisher's summary

After serving as a dutiful bridesmaid in the wedding from hell, Aynslee Shaw just wants to slink home to Nashville and forget the whole trip. That is until the hottest guy she's ever seen is seated next to her on the flight and charms her with his easy laugh and killer smile. But just when she thinks things are getting good, he vanishes, leaving Aynslee wondering, was that guy the one? And did she just let him slip through her fingers? Former superstar goalie Jordan Ryan is back on the ice - finally. After a crippling knee injury that had him wondering if he'd ever play pro hockey again, he's got his full attention on rebuilding his career. So a pretty - okay, beautiful - girl on a plane shouldn't be a distraction. But Jordan is very distracted. And when Aynslee crosses his path again, he's not sure any job in the world is worth missing his second chance with a woman like her.

Loved it

I loved this book couldn't put it down. Jordan Ryan is the back up golie for the Nashville Assassines but he's no longer happy because he wants to start, and now he's coming back home after talking to other teams that need a starter. Aynslee Shaw was coming home from her nieces wedding because of an emergency that she needed to take care of, and when she found her seat in the plane that happened to be next to Jordan she couldn't believe how handsome he was. They both felt a connection during their flight, but when it was time to go home Jordan just left her standing there and Aynslee couldn't understand why. After the third time they bumped into each othe Aynslee made her move before he left her standing again. Aynslee knew that Jordan was looking to be traded, but when she heard the news she was heart broken especially because Jordan never asked her to move with him.

Started well but then it lost me

The story was set up well but the "conflict" wasn't at all believable coming from the characters that started the book. I would say to skip this one. Absolutely nothing wrong with the narrator, though, she was great.

Not critical to series' central story line.

3.5 stars

This book went by incredibly quickly, especially when compared to the other books in the series. Aynslee and Jordan quickly hit things off and then quickly move into bed and finally quickly fall in love. One thing I didn't like in this book that was different from the previous books in the series is that neither Aynslee nor Jordan had really been mentioned before. Aside from Jordan being a member of the Assassins (and very briefly mentioned in the previous book(s) in regards to his injury), there is no connection to the other books. Something I've really enjoyed about this series has been the character crossover between the books. I was a bit disappointed that wasn't so much the case with this one. All of that being said, I did still really enjoy this book for what it was. The book features a HEA ending and no cliffhanger.
