Publisher's summary

A standalone, parallel novel to the New York Times, Wall Street Journal, and USA Today Best-selling Falling Into You.

The Story You Thought You Knew...

When Kyle Calloway died, he took a part of Nell with him. She wasn't the only one left to pick up the pieces, however; Kyle's death left a gaping hole in the hearts and lives of his parents and his older brother Colton, and ultimately broke the will of the girl he loved.

The Story You Never Imagined...

Becca de Rosa is Nell's best friend. When Kyle died, Nell was so devastated that no one could reach her, not even her best friend Becca. As she tries to help Nell through her grief, Becca's own life is thrust into turmoil, and everything she knows is changed.

Jason Dorsey asked Nell out the week after her sixteenth birthday, but that date never happened. Instead, he ended up going out with Nell's best friend, Becca. He had no way of knowing, then, how that one date would send him on a life-long journey with Becca. He had no way of knowing the tragedies and triumphs he would experience, or that in Becca, he might find the love of a lifetime.

Fell Short

I don't know why I just could not get into this book; most likely it's due to the story being centered around kids and I have a hard time getting into a story that feels like something my teenagers would read instead of me.

On a positive note, I liked the narrator and am not saying this is a poorly written book just not something for a 30+ year old reader who needs more depth in my books.

Terrible don't waste your money

What could have made this a 4 or 5-star listening experience for you?

This book was not written well. It was immature. It was like a bad public service announcement on teenage sex and drug use. Don't waste your time or money!

Would you ever listen to anything by Jasinda Wilder again?

No never

Too drawn out!!

Has Falling Into Us turned you off from other books in this genre?

No, I will still listen to more books in the genre, I just did not enjoy this, but I'm not sure if I will choose any other book by this writer.

What does Gabriel Vaughan and Piper Goodeve bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

The narrators are excellent, they make a boring story a little more bearable.

You didn’t love this book... but did it have any redeeming qualities?

Yes, it helped me to go to sleep at night!

Any additional comments?

The book was too drawn out, I felt as if the writer used as many words as possible to fill the pages.

I really didn't care for this!

What disappointed you about Falling Into Us?

While I like a little romance I felt like I kept listening to the same sex scene over and over.

What could Jasinda Wilder have done to make this a more enjoyable book for you?

Less sex, more plot and not so sappy!

Would you be willing to try another one of Gabriel Vaughan and Piper Goodeve ’s performances?

Yes - the performance was well done.

What reaction did this book spark in you? Anger, sadness, disappointment?

I just didn't think it had a very good plot. I felt like a 16 year old wrote the book.

Any additional comments?

I like chick lit, but thinking romance audio books are not for me!

Not enough story!

If you are looking for a book with a LOT of sex scenes then this book is for you. I had to stop in the first third of the book because this is not what I want to listen to.

If I read this when I was 15 I would have liked it

It is a good story for a teenage girl around 15. I just read it a decade or two too late. Notwithstanding, good performance by both readers.
