Publisher's summary

Previously published as American Diva

While guarding a beautiful, high-maintenance pop star, a stuntman wrestles with frustration - and intense desire.

Raven-haired, blue-eyed Jack Price hates being the only single member of Thrillseekers Anonymous, and he wishes his friends would stop trying to play matchmaker. He already has someone on his mind: Audrey LaRue, the gorgeous pop star - and diva extraordinaire - he's guarding from a vicious stalker.

All Audrey ever wanted to do was sing, write songs, and inspire other girls to do the same. Suddenly, she's a megafamous celebrity... and she hates it. The paparazzi document her every move. A crazed stalker threatens to kill her. Anyone in her position would throw an occasional tantrum…or 10.

As Audrey's tour marches on, the pressure - and the danger - build. But Jack rarely leaves her side, watching her and giving her the sexiest smiles she's ever seen. Can they keep this relationship professional... or will they succumb to overwhelming desire?

A 'WHO CARES' LISTEN IT FAILED TO KEEP MY INTEREST

I can't believe it - I really liked the previous 2 books in this series, and usually love JL's books, but this one seemed to go on and on and on about irrelevant insignificant things that I found myself skipping over bits and even when I did it was just the same thing under different circumstances.

The main female character - Audrey - was a superstar but was just so wimpy and weak letting everyone tell her what to do and she couldn't decide the who, what, when and how's of her life that I couldn't imagine any of today's superstars being that way - so strike 1 -dislikable unbelievable heroine.

The storyline was ok but it just lasted way too long (it should have been a 6 hr book) but it was filled with uninteresting details and had quite a depressing storyline - so strike 2 -length.

One of the subplots was that she was getting death threats accompanied by gifts from a mystery villain but the identity was given to the listener early on and their was no big build up in finding out who it was and the eventual capture of the person was dull - so strike 3 - no excitement.

Had this of been a 6 hr book then I probably may have enjoyed it more as there were fun, romance and enjoyable parts but unfortunately most of the characters were dislikable, apart from Jack of course, but a book cannot stand on a handsome fit hunk's shoulders alone (no matter how broad) as even he needs some help.

Worth a credit? It falls under my $10 rule so I bought it - but not worth a credit or $10 however if it was in one of Audible's sales then perhaps.

Read vs. listen

I did not care for the narrator's diction. It annoyed me so much I almost stopped listening. Just being honest. I never write comments as I'm a very fair person and don't critique much but I felt compelled to share with you.

Was there so much sex or unrealistic sex that you rolled your eyes and/or skipped forward? 5 O's in less than 10 minutes... I think?

The back story... The H, an unhappy pop singer, needs a body guard as she is getting threatening letters. The H steps in to help. The h treats others badly but thinks she is nice.

Romance or Gist: Maybe the h is a Siren as I cannot see a reason for the H to give a hoot about her

The drama explosion... The stalker makes his/her move
Did it feel Real, OK or contrived? Contrived
Was it OTT? Way over
Separation involved? A ridiculous amount
Was it resolved properly or rushed? Rushed

Final Notes... JL is a really good author but each story is a love or aaargh for me. This was a definite aaargh!
1. The h has been dating her 'manager' for 8 years but cannot see obvious manipulation or that he is using her.
2. The h follows said boyfriend's directive that she has to be curt and bossy with everyone who works for her so they don't 'walk all over her'. She is then upset to find out that people who know her don't like her.
3. Most of the people around her, especially family, are horrible people.
4. She makes stupid decisions... All the time.
5. The H was OK but lapses into periods of selfishness.

Wonderful Series

Great books I love the group of characters. I can hardly wait for the next book. The stories and characters were so much fun. I always l love a book when I don't know what's going to happen, these stories were very diverse and entertaining. This series of books work well together or alone. Thanks Ms. London for great read, (well, listens in my case.)

My favorite JULIA LONDON BOOK EVER ! ! <br />

I love this series . when ever I run out out of book's to read I go nack and read this series again. Fall into me is my favorite. I love the boys from Texas. big, burley, thrill seekers, yet gentle teddy bears. The only thing that scares them is falling in love. But when they do. ...........

3 down, 1 to go (4th is Perfect Homecoming)

What made the experience of listening to Fall into Me the most enjoyable?

I always enjoy a series with each of the characters getting their own story told. I had to go back and relisten to the whole series when Perfect Homecoming came out as that tells Cooper's story as well as Emma's story from Homecoming Ranch.

What was one of the most memorable moments of Fall into Me?

When Jack starts to see that Audrey is more than what he thought she was.

Which character – as performed by Renee Raudman – was your favorite?

I think Audrey. Although I think Renee does a good job of making you believe there is more than one person doing the narrating.

Any additional comments?

I like all these books and was happy when The Perfect Homecoming was available as it finished up the story of the four guys in this series. Even if Cooper wasn't as major a character as the others, I liked having his story told ,too. And having it mesh with another good series was a bonus.
