Four years ago, Erin's life changed drastically. Her drug-addicted brother killed her parents, and her marriage disintegrated. Her husband Matt, an FBI agent, had done his duty when he'd arrested Stuart, but she'd been too caught up in her own grief to allow him to help her move through the shadows of pain.
Now Matt is back, but it isn't to attempt reconciliation. Her brother has escaped from Attica, and Erin is his next target. Matt will stop Stuart by any means necessary. But Stuart is a desperate man, and desperate men will do anything to get what they want.
Thrown together by treacherous circumstances, Matt and Erin fight a battle to stay alive and possibly figure out how to put the pieces of their destroyed lives back together again.

I would from Rachel but never Joshua.
No because of the narrator
Don't have words to say how bad he is.
I was a little surprised that this book got perfect reviews - granted - not reviewed by many, but seriously? The story is just okay, not any better or worse than other romantic suspense novels. But the narrator is horrible - trying way too hard to sound sexy and mysterious and the narration of the female mc makes her sound like she doesnt have any braincells at all. The book would probably be a lot better read as an actual book.
OH YA, it was great! I enjoyed the book very much and my wife liked it even more. She thought the narrator has a sexy voice and I liked all the violence.
Matt, he was a man of action. I like men who get off their asses and get moving.
The jail break was one of the best scenes in the book. I liked the voices that Joshua Bennington gave Stuart and his buddy.
Romance and Violence together
You got to get this audio book!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Detective, romance and violence
I liked Stuart. This man had so many flaws and yet he broke out of jail (no one else could) found where his sister moved to and traveled 800+ miles to find her with thousands of people looking for him.
Highly recommand this audio book. It was very entertaining and well done.
WHAT MADE LISTENING TO "EXTREME MEASURES" SO ENJOYABLE WERE THE VOICES THAT THE NARRATOR GAVE THE CHARACTERS. HE WAS ABLE TO GIVE THEM LIFE BEYOND THE WRITTEN WORD.
I LIKED MATT THE BEST BECAUSE HE SEAMED TO HAVE ALL THE QUALITIES I WOULD BE LOOKING FOR IN A DETECTIVE. NO **** FROM ANYONE!
JOSHUA BENNINGTON GAVE THE BOOK A LIFE OF IT'S OWN AND IF I HAD READ THE BOOK AND NOT JUST LISTENED TO IT, I AM NOT SURE THE BOOK WOULD HAVE HAD AS MANY OR AS DEEP DIMENSIONS.
WHEN MATT SHOT STUART AND GOT TOGETHER WITH ERIN.
HIGHLY RECOMMEND THE AUDIO BOOK, ONE OF THE BEST I HAVE HEARD.
What I liked about the book was that there were two stories going on at the same time. Stuart leading one and Matt and Erin the other and only coming together at the end.
WOW factor was Stuart escapes and made could find his sister 800 miles away
We have listened to a few of his audio books and for a young man just starting out he is doing a remarkable job. We can see that he is growing and will be a top narrator someday.
The book had enough suspense to keep us glued to the speakers.
This was a well written book and the narration gave another dimension and made it even better.
I would recommend this book to anyone who likes love stories with violence.
Stuart because I like bad guys and the narrator made him sound even nastier.
I have listened to three others and I have liked them all.
I liked how Stuart leaves a trail of bodies in his wake.
Yes, it was will done and good for a second listen.
What I liked best about the story was that Erin and Matt got back together and that Stuart was finally killed.
Yes we have listened to other books narrated by Joshua Bennington and this book rates very high.
I was moved then Joshua Bennington did the first chapter where the two prisoners were making a jail brake and having a conversation. The narrator made it feel very real.
Great book, recommend it.
I listened to the book and liked it, so I will keep it in my computer
Matt , he is my hero
My favorite guy in the book was the crazy man, Stuart
I liked this audio book, is good
I liked that Erin and Matt get back together after Matt puts and end to Stuart.
Joshua Bennington also did "Tested by Fire" by Pat Patterson and I also liked it as well as this narration.
I would recommend "Extreme Measures" to anyone who likes loves story's with suspense
