    "A nice listen."

The concept of time travel is fascinating fodder for writers and readers. No matter how carefully the writer tries to cover the bases, I'm always left with those "but what about..." questions that are fun to puzzle over after the book is finished. This was simply a nice read. I really wish there was a 10pt rating system, because I have scored some much better books with four stars, but this one is better than three stars. Let's say this would be a 7 out of 10 stars.

The story gets right to it. There's a time travel love scene in the first few minutes and the rest of the book is built on that encounter. Katherine is a likeable character, but not very complex. Iain is a handsome sixteenth Scottish Laird who is kind and brave etc. You have to have a soft spot for him because he actually gets very emotional contrary to the stereotypical Scottish romance hero. The story switches back and forth from Iain's time to the present, a device that can be confusing, but I thought the author handled it quite nicely.
A secondary romance develops between Katherine's brother Jeffrey and friend Elaine. This relationship is superfluous except that it does provide a necessary link at one point.

The story comes to a nice ending and is wrapped up with a handy dandy epilogue.

The narrator does a good job providing a variety of Scottish character's as well as Katherine and Jeffrey's American voices.

This is just about the romance between characters born 500+ years apart and makes no real attempt to explain how time travel happens. There are some lapses too (this changed as a result of travel, so why didn't that..?) Those kinds of pesky little details tend to distract me, but if you can let them go and just enjoy this story, it is pleasant.

"IT MUST BE EDIBLE.... 'CAUSE I TOTALLY DEVOURED IT"

I loved, loved, loved this emotional, enchanting, and enjoyable listen and, if you're a PNR lover, it will have you enthralled and entertained from the beginning as your swept back across the barriers of time and space, along with Katherine, to the Highlands of Scotland where it's 1467. There Katherine encounters a swoon-worthy handsome, sexy, kilt wearing, passionate Laird called Iain and spends one glorious night in his arms and his bed. (Jealous, who me? naa, well not much, ok maybe, oh alright yeah).

Then, as this intense love story, with all it's drama, slowly unfolds you'll get drawn into the utter devotion, despair and desperation the two lovers have to go through in order to finally find true love and happiness together. Apart from a time-travel romance, the gifted author then includes mystery, intrigue, murders, plot twists, villains, battles, kidnapping, betrayal, another romance, great loveable characters and a Brother who'll move Heaven and Earth to help you have your Happily Ever After ending.

RP's narration brings to life the characters infuses their heartaches, their joys, their highs and their lows to the storyline to give you maximum enjoyment.

Worth a credit? When you eventually come to say goodbye to these characters you'll end up being haunted by them, thinking about them and missing them but there's hope.... as this is a trilogy we may well meet them all again - maybe in the past, present or even the future. An awesome, non-stop, totally credit-worthy listen - so that folks is a YES.

    "EXCITING!!!"

Time Travel is not my usual genre choice, in fact I've only listened to one other, "A Knight in Shining Armor", which I thoroughly enjoyed. So when I read the Publisher's Summary of "Everything In Its Time" I thought I might like it, too. What a wonderful treasure! I'm glad I gave it a chance.

If you have heard the old saying, "Never a dull moment" it's an apt description of "Everything In Its Time" which starts off in an unconventional manner and hooks you from the beginning. This fast paced book with its twists and turns is never predictable as it switches back and forth between Scotland 1467 and modern day.

Katherine St. Claire has never forgotten the passionate night she shared with a stranger while staying at a castle hotel called Duncreag. He haunts her dreams. Tired of loving "Fantasy Man", as her brother Jeff refers to him, she decides to go back to Duncreag in search of the man of her dreams. The listener is sucked into the fantasy right along with Katherine and Ian, her dream lover, as they fight to be together.

A secondary love story also develops along with the primary love story.

"Everything in Its Time" is packed with action, romance, passion, and a 'who-done-it' mystery that will keep you enthralled from page one to the very end. I highly recommend it.

    "Beautiful Story!"
Would you listen to Everything in Its Time again? Why?

I have listened to this book twice and loved it both times. Beautifully written, time travel love story. I laughed, cried and held my breath. Passionate, enduring, romantic and sweet. Every girls fantasy.

What does Ross Pendleton bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

Excellent narration. Nice deep sensual voice for the male characters. His voice as Ian gave me shivers and goosebumps!

    Any additional comments?

I highly recommend this book. It's a great time travel adventure of true love!

    "Enjoyed this book very much!"
What did you love best about Everything in Its Time?

If you like time travel and romance, as I do, this is a very good read. The characters were believable, love she told her brother, never had quite this story line in other time travel novels.

What was one of the most memorable moments of Everything in Its Time?

Her brother knowing what happened to her instead of wondering and thinking she was a missing person.

Have you listened to any of Ross Pendleton’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

No, my first.Looking for a second novel but have been unsuccessful.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

    Yes, it was.

    Any additional comments?

Still looking for the second novel..

    "A Timeless Romance"

When reading this book, don’t think about but won’t this happen if this happen, things. Just enjoy the moment of the book and the romance that develops. The romance between Katherine and Ian is timeless, literally and figuratively. Dee Davis is excellent in writing a story that will envelope you within their lives and their struggle to continue to find their love. I don’t think the book was confusing, however it does jump from the past to the future from one chapter to the next. But I found it easy to figure out what time I was in and with whom.

This book checked all my boxes for a great Scottish romance, Alpha Scottish hot as sin male, Check. Headstrong, beautiful lass, Check. Damsel in distress, Check. Some action to liven things up, Check. Passionate love scenes, check, check, check. HEA, CHECK. And a narrator voices that delivers a superb Scottish accent, mmm CHECK.

    "More...More...More"

Everything in its Time: by Dee Davis is a mesmerizing, and gripping novel that will captivate you from the first pages. You will not be able to put it down, being tempted to listen far into the night.

The characters are well developed; each establishing a relationship with the reader. Some are likeable and some, not so much…whether you like them, loathe them, fear them, or cheer for them, they are memorable and you will find yourself thinking about them long after the experience is completed.

There are several twists in this amazing plot and the journey will be well worth the credit. I am looking forward to more from this author.

    Enjoy!

    "I soo enjoyed this!"
Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?

Absolutely! This was a very sweet, unique love story that you makes you feel warm and fuzzy inside.

Who was your favorite character and why?

Probably Reynolds. He was pretty tough and pretty funny.

What about Ross Pendleton’s performance did you like?

Awwww he is simply amazing. He has the most masculine, smooth voice. Like a good whiskey lol. His scottish accent was awesome. The female voices..eh not great but I could definitely tell they were female. Although I am glad he doesn't have the most beautiful feminine voice cause I think that may have distracted from the story anyway.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

It actually was. Sweet, simple but complex, and interesting.

    Any additional comments?

If you are looking for a good, wholesome, love story then this is it. While it is not raunchy, it does have a few descriptive love scenes. I would recommend this book as a credit or as cash. You will not be disappointed!

I stopped listening at chapter 10, maybe the story would have improved but the narrator was incredibly bad. He was not able to carry male and female voices. I might get the book and finish the book. If this is the start of a trilogy please change the reader.
