All her life, Melody Evans has wanted to marry a plain, average man who doesn’t take risks. But when the foreign embassy is taken over by terrorists and she’s rescued by a daring Navy SEAL, Melody blames the extreme circumstances for their ensuing passion. Like the store line, but...

I agree with Jan from Omaha. I love Suzanne Brockmann’s books, but I wasn’t too crazy about this one. I did not like Melody at all. She was so annoying that at times I just wanted to smack her.

Thumbs down on narrator

These alpha squad books are great but the narrators are getting worse!
Jones and Melody finally get it right

This author never misses!

Enjoyable story, holds your interest throughout. If you have not yet read the Trouble shooters series by Ms. Brockmann.. You must!

Couldn't have made a more unlikable heroine.

Have to say this heroine is the worst I have ever read in any book. Was the author purposely making her unrelateable and detestable as possible? Not sure what she was thinking with this one.

Not an Everyday, Average Jones

This is similar to the others in the series. I enjoyed them all, so far, although the Troubleshooter series is much better; there is more action in them. The narrator did a good job. Also good by Brockmann is Infamous, Bodyguard, and of course all the Troubleshooter series in which my favs are Out of Control, Gone too Far, Into the Storm, and Dark of Night. I very much recommend the Troubleshooters they are sooooo good. Although I enjoy the Tall, Dark and Dangerous I probably wouldn’t have read everything by Brockmann if I had started with this series.

An ok story

Of this series not my favorite but it's still a better than good listen and a lure to the next book in the series.

Too much angst for me

I couldn't listen to this book all the way through. It was just too heart wrenching for my taste so I skipped a lot of it. Very good narration.

TSTL

To Stupid To Live. The heroine in the story is so mean and frustrating! She only thinks of herself. She doesn't think about the child growing up without a father. I understand not getting married just for the child, but to deny the father a place in the child's life is wrong.
