So So story, annoying narrator

Not much in the way of a mystery romance. More romance than any catchy mystery. But the sound effects in that narration was ridiculous. "Ka-thud" -was overdone. Every time loud music was mentioned....several "Ka-thud" sounds. Whenever the baseball bat was swung.......more "Ka-thuds". Really? As adult readers, we can imagine and picture things......no foolish noises necessary.
