Publisher's summary

When Erion's son is kidnapped by the evil vampire Cruen, Erion vows to stop at nothing to find his hideaway - including intercepting the traveling party of Cruen's beautiful bride-to-be. But instead of a vulnerable caravan, Erion is met by a feral band of female demons that includes Hellen, the bride - a creature of dark magic and darker passion. Though the safety of his son is foremost, Erion can't deny his unexpected connection to Hellen - inflaming a manic desire as primal as it is irresistible. As their bond intensifies, they move toward an inevitable and terrifying battle. With time running out, Erion realizes he must not only find and rescue his son but protect Hellen from Cruen and the underworld forces waiting to destroy her for her betrayal.

Oh my Demonboy

Erion is a half vampire and half demon. If you didn’t know this already, then you shouldn’t be reading this book. His son has been taken by Cruen and Erion will do anything to bring him home safely. Hellen is a demon, who has given her life and body to Cruen to save her sisters. Erion decides to kidnap Hellen in exchange for his son, which begins the story. I enjoyed the different variations that this book offered for the series. It opened the realm for new characters and something different than the previous four offered. However, I’m a little torn by my feeling for this book. I loved the blooming relationship between Erion and Hellen and was extremely happy that the unloved and unwanted finally found loved. But I guess that can be said for all the Roman brothers. (Again, if you don’t know what I’m talking about, read the series from the beginning) But I’m a little puzzled as to the direction the series took with this book. I still greatly enjoyed the book and probably will reread it again.

As always, I loved Tavia Gilbert. She is quickly becoming one of my favorite narrators. She always does a phenomenal job with the voices. I think she could read the encyclopedia and make it sound downright interesting.

I'M AN ETERNAL FAN

Wow who can resist those abs - anyway enough about the cover back to the book - any Mark of the Vampire fan will love this new addition to the story as LW tantalizes and teases us as she brings and adds more mental images of new and exciting characters, events and places for us to swoon at with "oooos, ahhhhs and wows".

This is about a tragic doomed love story between Erion and Hellen who just happens to be the Devil's daughter as they are trapped in an evil bargain that neither wants. It's exciting, torturous, sad, thrilling, gripping and has some great characters. It's sexy but the couple cannot make love because she has to remain a virgin until the evil bargain is fulfilled but shucks Erion just one unhappy demon on the night and it's safe to say all Hell breaks out .... literally,

Not really a stand alone listen as it refers to a lot of past events, people etc and it's a bit confusing the names they call things.

Worth a credit? That's another happily spent credit - so YES but you must be a paranormal romance lover.

Tavia Gilbert

Would you recommend this book to a friend? Why or why not?

Yes, probably, maybe. I love the characters in all the previous books. The characters in this book were good.

How would you have changed the story to make it more enjoyable?

As in all her books the too long raunchy sex scenes take away from the book. Dianne Duvall and Jeaniene Frost know how to convey erotic love making without the C word and the also crude P word. The sex scenes are too long. I would have fast forwarded but then you miss dialogue.
I like in the other books of the series all the brothers were throughout the story and more supporting characters.

Which scene was your favorite?

When they are in the underworld hunting rogue demons.

What would have made this romance irresistible?

It was all about sex and they didn't talk or get to know each other aside from that. I am listening to Dianne Duvall right now and she lets the relationships evolve. The find out more and more about each other and like it.

Any additional comments?

This was my least favorite of her books. I still can't wait for the next one to be out.
