The worldwide phenomenon continues as Eva and Gideon face the demons of their pasts and accept the consequences of their obsessive desires.... From the moment I first met Gideon Cross, I recognized something in him that I needed. Something I couldn’t resist. I also saw the dangerous and damaged soul inside - so much like my own. I was drawn to it. I needed him as surely as I needed my heart to beat. No one knows how much he risked for me. How much I’d been threatened, or just how dark and desperate the shadow of our pasts would become.
Entwined by our secrets, we tried to defy the odds. We made our own rules and surrendered completely to the exquisite power of possession....

“A steamy read that will have you furiously flipping pages.” (Glamour)
“A highly charged story that flows and hits the mark.” (Kirkus Reviews)
I can find a book to love in any genre -- a beautifully written classic, an interesting mystery or sci-fi, a trashy romance. Bring it!
Story - Okay, it's my fault. I listened to Bared to You and Reflected in You and didn't learn my lesson about this series. The problem is that I love the story of Ava and Gideon, their tortured pasts and their hot chemistry... but I'm getting really bored with the constant sex. There's a saying that applies here, "Less is more."
The first two books had a great story line but in this one the story stagnates. Except for some good stuff toward the end, it's all over the place with side characters and little filler subplots. Why? This isn't the conclusion to the trilogy we expected, so the author adds stupid fluff to stretch the series. Think about this ... five books for a romance??? I'm torn whether to continue with the series. I want to see everything tied up with a big happy bow, but I fear Gideon and Ava will just F*#& for 15 of the next 20 book-hours and then die stuck together.
Narrator - Love the narrator. She's got a velvety, sexy voice, and she can do a pretty good guy voice too! Her performance lends class to the story.
Overall - If you like lots and lots of steamy sex, you will love this book. Otherwise, you might find it boring.
I'm a bit surprised that some feel cheated and ripped off that this is NOT the last in the Eva and Gideon saga, but I for one am thrilled that there are at least 2 more books to follow. I love the subplots, and I want to know more about their crazy parents, families and exes, the female cop, Cary, Megumi and the 2 "drivers" who are more special ops bodyguards extraordinaire than chauffeurs. If Ms. Day had limited this to just 3 books, I think most of us would have lamented that it was all over and would have wanted her to do at least a couple of spin-off series with Gideon and Eva cameos and updates. My only gripe is that I didn't catch the story a few years from now so I could just listen to them all at one time, but that's pretty much always the way it goes. I can't wait to see what she spins for the next books, but I'm kind of hoping for a Magdalena or Megumi/Brett hookup and lots of comeuppance for G's mom, the pediatrician, half-brother and anyone else who needs it.
As for the writer being "greedy," please. I would have paid a credit, and many would have paid retail of $29.95 without a blink AND been happy with more books in the series. Through Audible, this is absolutely worth a credit, though it's cheaper by cash and a total bargain to get the 3 audiobooks for under $30.
It pains me to write anything even slightly negative about Sylvia Day as i think she is a fabulous author, however, for what ever reason, my greatest critisism stems from my overwhelming dissapointment in this installment.
The first two books were increadable, i loved them, listened to them multiple times, loved the characters and invested in them, they held just the right balance between storyline and sexual intrigue. I loved Gideons strength and dominance and ability to be vulnerable to Eva but to not be controlled by her. I loved Eva's strength, her love for Gideon, her loyalty to her family and friendships. In the third book however, Gideon lost all his strength, he spent the whole book chasing around after Eva, pandering to her every whim, losing all sense of self it would seem, even occupying the apartment next door? and then what is with the Corrin storyline and the sex tape?? a little much too much it would seem. It almost felt as though i was trapped in a bad episode of the young and the restless as aposed to a real life believable drama. I had loved this story for its realism, its relatability but what is next, a royal scandal or brett kline turning into a serial killer?? Im sorry to say but Gideon was pathetic in this novel and that crushed me. And Eva, was so needy and winey and self absorbed i actually couldnt listen to it all at once.
Where i think it went wrong for me, Although still an amazing writer, I really believe this book was a fluffer book, written to fill in a gap. I have heard that there is another two books to go and i cant possibly see why or how. If Gideon degrades any further im going to scream. The worst part for me though, was that in contrast to the other books, this one had far too much sex in it to the point it lost any effect or meaning and was just too much, it was way over done to fill in the pages.
I still believe in Sylvia Day though and i really hope that the next book, brings the storyline back off the ledge, saves Gideons masculinity and Evas likeability. I didnt even like Carey in this book with his twist. Will i put the next book on preorder like i did the first three, no. But when i am browsing and i see it listed after its release, i will read or listen to it and give the series one last chance....
The saving grace was Jill Redfield. I believe she is such a consumae orator. I love her work and would listen to anything she recorded. Please use her for more audio books as she does the characters justice.
Busy mom who loves to read but doesn't always have the time. I enjoy YA, Romance and the occasional Best Seller.
This is such a hard review for me to write. I was so excited to read the “Steamy Conclusion to a Popular Trilogy” as described by Audible. Imagine my surprise to learn that this trilogy is NOT in fact a trilogy and this is NOT in fact the conclusion. Oh it’s steamy, but there is no real ending. Turns out there are in fact 2 more books planned. I must admit I felt cheated. (especially by the author's end comment)
All that aside, this installment was very much like the last one for me. It ran both HOT and COLD. At times the story was really flowing…we were getting answers and some real advancements in the plot. However, most of the time it just felt like so much fluff and filler. I didn’t really care for most of the subplots with the secondary characters either. And as a side note, I really dislike Bret!
I’m giving this one 3 stars for Jill Redfeld’s brilliant narration and for the hot and steamy sections.
The plot was very weak. It was all soft porn with no substance. Even the sex became repetitive and I ended up fast forwarding.
I think Jill did the best with what she was given; however, the male voice sounded a little goofy.
The sex became very repetitive. Which made it lose its intrigue.
Keep looking up .. Because that's where it all is. Kidd Kraddick my he rest In peace
I waited forever for this to be on audible .. The ending made me so mad and I thought the story would be a little better.. This series is just okay
I don't think that this book was really necessary in this series nothing really happened in this book that was very significant. wouldn't waste a credit on this.
I was anticipating the release of this book, thinking that it is the conclusion of the series, however, it's not and it should've been because I've grown tired of these characters and their drama...it's more drama than love story anymore. I re-listened to book 1 & 2 to remember what all happened so I can prepare myself for the continuation of this story. I couldn't remember why I loved these series and I guess because books 1 & 2 had really hot & steamy sex scenes and built up the characters, but now that I re-listened to these books I found myself rolling my eyes as in, really, why did I ever like this series?! Eva's character is so jealous and possessive of her man Gideon and accuses him of cheating all the time, but then she put's herself in uncomfortable situations that can lead to disaster. She's always questioning Gideon's fidelity yet she's kisses her ex-boyfriend in book 2? And then in this book, she marrys Gideon (don't worry I didn't spoil it much) but then plans to fly back to San Diego to meet with her ex-boyfriend again! She's just asking for trouble. How can she be content with Gideon but she puts herself in danger all the time whether it's emotionally or physically. I'm emotionally drained myself after listening to this book. If you like Sylvia Day then I reccommend her Renegade Angels series. I wish she would continue down that series than have 2 more books of this one.
Entwined With You leaves its readers hanging in the worst way. The storyline remains solid, how the book ends in the worst possible way. No cliffhanger to keep your appetite wet. It seems as if Sylvia decided she simply did not want to work on the book anymore. I am hoping this was a the result of a poor decision by her publisher to split the book into two or three different books.
Jill Redfield did an awesome job but the material itself was not the greatest.
I was highly disappointed because I thought this book was a trilogy so when I reached the end I was upset and let down. I enjoyed 1&2 but book 3 was not what it was hyped up to be I am not sure if I will spend my credits on the next book in this series.
Majorly let down :(
"Disappointment from start to finish."
This book was an abomination. The first two were great and were moving along nicely with a great storyline and great characters and now the third part of a trilogy suddenly becomes a the third part of a five books series. The story is stretched so thin, it's like wet toilet paper, and just as enticing.
There was no plot development or character development and if I heard him growl "Angel" one more time, I was gonna throw up.
Absolutely dreadful. If I had thought about it sooner and if Audible did not have such a difficult returns policy, I would return it. Suddenly turning a 3 parter into a 5 parter surely breaks the contract between writer and reader, even if it is only a moral contract. Will never buy another book in the series.
The performance was fine. She did a good job with an awful book
I would have cut at least half of the sex scenes, deleted 4 out of 5 times that they said "I love you" or called each other their pet names and I would have insisted that Sylvia Day actually finish the story as she promised.
hoping there is a book 4. I read all three books in the crossfire series and its up there with the fifty shades trilogy, except Gideon Cross is not as sexually twisted and Christian Grey.
yet another amazing book can't get enough of this series so many different emotions this series has had me on the edge of my seat craving more the book as everything coverd for a excellent read.
Sex, secret marriage, more sex, continuing flatmate drama, mother drama, sex and a very abrupt ending.
"Amazing loved the story and the narrator"
Fifty shades of grey.
The narrator was awesome, she put all the emotions that were required to make this amazing story come to life. She did an amazing job.
Great story, great narrator, thanks Audible :)
"What can I say? I love Gideon!"
I guess you have to be a fan of the crossfire books to have got to the third book. I enjoyed the 'tying up of loose ends' of this one. Gideon and Eva are as hot as ever!
Unfortunately this third book does not live up to its predecessors which were brilliant, I couldn't wait for this book to be released and have been seriously disappointed. No content, very thin story line. What can I say.....
"Entwined with you"
Continued nicely following on from the last book of the up's & down's of jealousy, suspense & of cause passion. Keeping you gripped & wonting more the book seem's so short.
I loved the first 2 books and couldn't wait to hear the next installment but was very disappointed in this book. There seemed to be alot of dead ends. A lot of the questions that I had from book 1 and 2 were still left unanswered at the end of this book. I feel that Sylvia Day is just trying to drag the readers along to the 4th installment. The narrating was fine as with the other 2. Not sure if I will be getting the 4th installment as I have lost the love for these characters which is a great shame as a previously stated i very much enjoyed the first 2 books.
"Love Sylvia Day"
I love the crossfire series. i was eagerly waiting this book. It didnt dissapoint. Looking forward to the 4th Installment.
