Publisher's summary

The worldwide phenomenon continues as Eva and Gideon face the demons of their pasts and accept the consequences of their obsessive desires.... From the moment I first met Gideon Cross, I recognized something in him that I needed. Something I couldn’t resist. I also saw the dangerous and damaged soul inside - so much like my own. I was drawn to it. I needed him as surely as I needed my heart to beat. No one knows how much he risked for me. How much I’d been threatened, or just how dark and desperate the shadow of our pasts would become.

Entwined by our secrets, we tried to defy the odds. We made our own rules and surrendered completely to the exquisite power of possession....

The journey continues

What did you like best about this story?

what ‘crossfire” means to both of them.

Any additional comments?

I understand the disappointment of the book becoming a series when we expected a conclusion. I too am frustrated by books that turn into trilogies and series. The difference with this series? The many characters and the author taking time to develop them, which is worth the continuation.
Moving these books to a rapid conclusion would have left parts untold; like 50 shades did in the end. Wrapping up the book really quickly with a nice neat end, but left readers wanting to know more.................

Both main characters have unresolved deep emotional scars & issues that they have not fully dealt with. Eva’s need to impress her father and Gideon’s refusal to really deal with what happened in his childhood. This book is a window to the changes occurring as the Eva and Gideon become really entwined in each other.

♥️ I have loved every single minute of this book. Sylvia never ceases to inspire me and my fantasies. Cross and Eva’s story is one that I am going to miss reading about.

Drama!

Audible Review: This is the same narrator from books 1 and 2. Overall, a good narrator. I don't exactly enjoy her Gideon voice, but I am very picky about that and it's probably a me issue.

Story Review: While I enjoy getting as much of this couple as I can get, this is my least favorite book so far.

Gideon and Ava spend the whole book pretending not to be a couple. You know why because of the ending in book 2. Personal preference has me wanting to read a couple together, not separate.

As one threat comes to a slow close, a new one pops up with a reporter trying to make Gideon look nasty because of her own agenda. These past women in his life are annoying and tiresome. The worst is Corrine.

My biggest pet peeve about this book was Gideon is still constantly catering to Corrine. I don't doubt his love for Ava and I do not think he wants Corrine, but he needs to cut her loose. It's disrespectful to keep going to her when all she wants to do is come between Ava and him. I don't care that he feels guilty. He shouldn't. Corrine broke it off with him and she made her bed.

Ava still has Brett trying to get back with her and yet I'm actually not bothered that much by it. For one, Gideon deserves to feel what that's like since he won't cut Corrine loose and two, Ava is not encouraging Brett. In fact, she has been pretty insistent to him that she is in love with Gideon and he doesn't have a chance. Should she cut ties to a friendship? Yes, but why should she if Gideon won't show her the same respect. I am usually much harder on the female in books but in this instance, I agree with her.

I enjoyed the ending but I hate that when a good thing happens a bad thing follows closely behind. That can get a bit tiresome, as well. I am, however, still looking forward to book 4.

Please put me out of my misery

I do love this series and I did love this book too, BUT I'm ready for a conclusion. I can handle the trilogys but it seems that everyting coming out now is a trilogy and I'm getting tired of it. Yes like I said this one was as good as the previous books but you can prolong something too long and it's time for this one to come to a satisfying conclusion. I will say it was worth my credit.

Left me wanting to know more

Where does Entwined With You rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?

The performance of Jill Redfield was quite good. I enjoyed listening to her narrate. I felt like this book showcased more of the sex scenes and Eva's and Gideon's building of trust, deeper love, and understanding of one another than it did with actual content and resolution. What it did was provoke a yearning and interest in what's to come in the next book. I have suspicions about Eva's mother and maybe the situation with Nathan's murder. I think this series could go on for more than one installment because there are so many storylines developing and it may seem rushed if it's wrapped up in only one more book. Sylvia has created a fantastic group of characters.

What was one of the most memorable moments of Entwined With You?

I think the extreme detail of their 'encounters' was hotter than hell. It was touching that Gideon cried; it showed his more sensitive side. All of the touching moments where Gideon and Ava are together are exactly what I was wanting for them. I also felt the pain and dissappointment that Ava must have felt by being swept away from Gideon at the hospital. It's outstanding that "Crossfire" is Ava's safeword during intimacy but stands for Gideon's deep affection and extreme need for Ava.

Which scene was your favorite?

I could never decide. The entire story is awesome!

If you were to make a film of this book, what would be the tag line be?

Even the darkness of their pasts cannot keep them from their destiny to be together. It's just a matter of time.

Any additional comments?

I cannot believe how this ended. I will go insane waiting for the next book. I can only hope it will be this year and SOON (please!) because if I have to wait one whole year or longer I will explode!

OMG!!!!

I loved Sylvia's first two Crossfire Novel and eventhough I enjoyed reading this novel, I am disappointed in the lack of progression that has happened in this novel. This novel takes place after Eva has learned about Gideon secert and they are trying to figure out if their relationship will survive. Although some questions were answered from the last two novels, many more were left unexplained as the book came to a close. I knew that this book wasn't the last book in the series, but c'mon, I was hoping for more than I received. I will read the next book because I have came this far, but if I don't start getting some answers real quick, I'm going to be highly upset.

I have listened to Jill before as a narrator and I LOVE HER. She is fanastic with everything that she reads.

Holding my breath‼️

Love making, drama, suspense, more love making, action scenes, and relationship development are a few describing words. At some points I held my breath until the sentenced was done being read. Jill baby..... you are a true talent ✅👍🏽 The way you voiced each character to life🙌🏽 extraordinary ‼️ The way you narrated the multiple love scenes gave me a tingle 😏. Great production can’t wait to finish the series. Highly recommended.
