Good book, but not as great as the previous two

I have been anticipating the release of this book, as have SO many others. Sylvia promised via live chat that many questions would be answered in this book, and yet, many of those questions were not even really touched.

One of the redeeming factors is that, we still have the same narrator, Jill Redfield. So many long series books have multiple readers, and that's just confusing. I love the way Jill brings these characters to life! It makes it easy for me to see each person separately in my head.

Another redeeming factor, is that the series is very well written. Sylvia is a seasoned writer, and she knows how to make a story believable! I have read other similar books (yes, like 50 shades), and many of them are very poorly written. This book is very well done, as are the rest, as far as detailing, story line, etc. However, this book almost felt as if Sylvia was trying to rush through it. It felt so short, compared to the previous two books.

One downside with this book is, it felt like 95% of the time Gideon and Eva were together, they were having sex. Last time I checked, this was a romance novel, not pure erotica. SLOW DOWN, just a little bit, please! Yes the couple is hot. Yes, the story is steamy. But we get it, they cant get enough of each other. Can we get to the rest of the BS now please?

I still love this series, and I still love Sylvia's books, and I will continue to buy them. And I will still eagerly await the final two books, but I must say, this one is so far, the most disappointing. I really did not want to give a negative review on this one, but I had no choice.


Why would i give it 5 stars all around with such a negative review, you ask? I still think its 5 star worthy...sorry

I was a bit hesitant when I started this listen, the reviews were less that stellar but I bought it anyway.

I am really invested in Gideon and Eva, love can make people do crazy things.... and love can heal some wounds that cut deep.. This was really about Gideon's demons and Eva's journey to fight to heal his demons... Have to say the sex was a bit much in this book but not enough to take away from the story...

I like how the author did not make marriage the definition of HEA! That the battle is still going... This book is written as a daily account verses jumping through month of time....which works at least for me!

There are still many unanswered questions...If Corinne was desperately in love with Gideon, why did she leave? What has her spinning out of control.. What about Bret? what does he have up his sleeve... Gideon's family is still a mystery... and what is Gideon's mother hiding? and who covered up Gideon's 'dramatic act of love' for Eva? ohh.. and Cary's love triangle...WTF was that?....Yep many, many question left unanswered...

Looking forward to the remaining 2 or 3 books... I have never been a fan of slow developing books.. but I must admit why would I want this to end when at every turn something new and significant pops up and draws me back in! I actually enjoy the pace of this book.. Its my very own sort of soap opera!

I would say definitely worth my credit, however, many should be aware this series has I think 5 or 6 books which can be a tough listen for many people!

Where does Entwined With You rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?

Love the series and characters. The performance by Jill redfield is the best of all I've heard. She's great. But I can't believe how this last one ended. I feel totally ripped off. And to add an authors note at the end basically saying, ha ha I know u feel ripped off, makes it even worse. It feels like she was rushed to turn the book in so she just stopped mid story. I would expect a few things to be left to create interest for the next book but this was a little too much. So as jealous and possessive as Ava and gideon are they choose to leave this major issue unresolved...come on. Not to mention the fact that they are in the middle of a huge charade with all family, best friends and the detectives. And what's up with magumi??? Why even start that storyline... Bottom line...how long will we wait for the answers..... I definitely feel cheated with this one. Absolutely nothing except the status of their relationship has been resolved in this issue. Nathans death...magumis mysterious absences...karins "situation"...avas parents indiscretion and her mothers secrets...the "engagement"...Kerries "situation"...Brett...too many loose ends to feel satisfaction. A rather intentional action by Sylvia day to drum up sales for book no.4 seems kind of sleazy if u ask me and I am seriously considering NOT buying it just for that reason. Well see if my curiosity wins out and if I even care anymore by the time the next one is out... I mean the sex scenes are becoming monotanous..we know they are attracted to each other by now...

Not Your Normal Erotica

This story has real character and plot development. The author uses believable scenarios (well maybe the sex is too good to be true) and the psychological issues are believable. I like the readers/performers, too!

Absolutely love this series!

This is one of the first audio books that I purchased and I fell in love with the authors passion and the performance by the reader absolutely wonderful! This series is great and I finally got the next book because this one left a cliffhanger and I have waited so long! Can't wait to let you know how it is. Totally worth a credit and the money!

Another really good book by Sylvia Day, my only problem with it is that I'm done and will have to wait a LONG time for the next one! SIGH

I liked this one better because they actually try working through their problems this time instead of just running away or acting childish. It was rather annoying in the first two books every time something would go wrong Eva would act as though she were 16 instead of her mid twenties.

Also, we see more into the mind of Gideon in this one, and some of his secrets and mystery are revealed. This was probably my favorite of the series so far. There is still quite a bit of action and drama, it just seems more like adult drama instead of teenage bs.

I can't wait for the next one!

A very good story About Eva and Gideon and their love affair. Can't wait for the next in the series. A must listen to book.

Jill Redfield was awesome. Silvia Day should use her to narrate all of her books. I could listen to her voice all the time.

Outstanding Series!

I can't say enough about how much I enjoyed this series. I have listened to it multiple times over the years and am never disappointed. I rarely give 5 stars. Well written, great characters and nice storyline.
