The worldwide phenomenon continues as Eva and Gideon face the demons of their pasts and accept the consequences of their obsessive desires.... From the moment I first met Gideon Cross, I recognized something in him that I needed. Something I couldn’t resist. I also saw the dangerous and damaged soul inside - so much like my own. I was drawn to it. I needed him as surely as I needed my heart to beat. No one knows how much he risked for me. How much I’d been threatened, or just how dark and desperate the shadow of our pasts would become.
Entwined by our secrets, we tried to defy the odds. We made our own rules and surrendered completely to the exquisite power of possession....

“A steamy read that will have you furiously flipping pages.” (Glamour)
“A highly charged story that flows and hits the mark.” (Kirkus Reviews)
Jill Redfield does a great job narrating.
Spoiler alert.... Not the last book. Will someone just put me out of my misery!
I'm a busy mom who loves to listen to books. Mostly I listen on my way to and from work.
It leaves you hanging and now waiting to see how it will end and no real end in sight.
Gideon and Ava are both my favorite. Gideon's voice was a little off in this book though.
I will keep listening when they come out just because I need to see how it ends.
She's amazing!! I have all 3 books on audio and they captivate me!! Love love love!
I hate that I ha to listen to most of the first and second book too many mentions , most of the readers already know what happened before and dont need a repeat. I just feel that too much time (of mine) was taken backtracking. I did not get much of a new story line to read
Something Dystopian, although I have not seen a lot of that from audible as of yet
the narrator...as always she was awesome
not really I felt that I was once again left in an unexcusable cliffhanger
I was really looking forward to the rest of this series... I feel like I want to just move onto another series and leaveSylvia Day behind
I am a teacher, an avid reader, & I swear I was born with the love of literature as a part of me, who I am.
Non-perfect Love Story
Giddeon Cross. He's powerful, confident, yet insecure & vulnerable.
She makes the characters seem more "real" and relatable. I can feel things just by her inflections in her voice.
You know the series of a book is good when you feel like you are going through a mourning period after you've finished because you've become so engrossed with the characters.
I love Sylvia Days writing and I am so pleased the story continues. I am a lover of long sagas and I love a story that continues for years!! I have been reading the Outlander Series for 20 years - and book 8 coming out next year!!
But back to this book I really enjoyed the subplot characters and I really look forward to hearing more from them in the next books. The story had it all for me and I lost a whole nights sleep as I couldnt stop listening.
Thanks to the incredible narration of Jill Redfield. You are a wonderful talent.
Use a d
Her voice is annoying and flat
Did not listenbeyondfirst what sounded like an introduction
Yes. This book has warm, sexy, but most of all with believable characters that make for long nights with the IPOD!!!
Reminds me closely to the 50 Shades Trilogy, but not as dark (thank you) and is better. This made for a much more comfortable read in which the author pulls us in and wants us to crave understanding, empathy, and acceptance of each character.
The best compliment is: I never thought about her!! Her voices were so convincing in creating the different characters. I never cringed or was never disturbed by a thought of her as a narrator throughout the whole audio. She allowed me to just sit back and visualize the characters in my head so clearly as I listened. Great Job!
One would have to be dense not to be moved by every character in the book. The last few chapters things move so quickly, I truly empathized with all of the characters.
I would like to thank Sylvia Day for realizing these complex characters couldn't be summed up in three books. I can't wait to see where she takes them and where they take her. I'll be waiting impatiently for the next book (or hopefully books).
ALSO: I almost didn't purchase this book due to the review posted in which the reader seemed upset by this book not being the end of the trilogy as thought. PLEASE!!! Give me one good author that allows the reader to be transfixed into of world of these beloved character's lives, that wouldn't crave more. Personally, I'm always saddened when I know it's the last I'll know of these characters because the end is here. YAY, there's more!!!!
