Publisher's summary

The worldwide phenomenon continues as Eva and Gideon face the demons of their pasts and accept the consequences of their obsessive desires.... From the moment I first met Gideon Cross, I recognized something in him that I needed. Something I couldn’t resist. I also saw the dangerous and damaged soul inside - so much like my own. I was drawn to it. I needed him as surely as I needed my heart to beat. No one knows how much he risked for me. How much I’d been threatened, or just how dark and desperate the shadow of our pasts would become.

Entwined by our secrets, we tried to defy the odds. We made our own rules and surrendered completely to the exquisite power of possession....

Can't Get Enough!

I love this series! The author has created an incredible love story. Day wove together a complex plot, raw honesty, strong characters, and the hot sexy deliciousness into a tightly written, emotional story. Listening to these books on audio is a real treat. Give me more!

Omg

Gideon & Eva's story continues on with more drama, more passion, more twists and just more!!

I love Sylvia's way of writing, the attention to detail is spot on - not to much or too little, it's just perfect.

The one thing that takes a mark of is that Eva is starting to annoy me with regards to Brett!!
She's just married Gideon, they are head over heels obsessed with each other yet have so much self-doubt, everyone's standing in their way, Corriene, Deanna, Dr. Lucas, the list is endless but apart from Corrine, the main one is Brett! Eva's past lover who now wants her back, she's supposedly keeping her distance (esp after she kissed him at the start and not only broke Gideon's heart but caused a full-blown brawl!!!) yet she sends him random texts with a hello and a smiley face?? Goes to the premiere of his song which is about her?? Oh hello... Gideon??!!!
I know who I'd want to spend my time with and it most def isn't Brett!!!!

Bar that, it's all good!

Till death do us part!

How much is Gidden willing to go through to secure a place forever in Eva's heart? Will they make it through all their baggage?

Entranced from the beginning

Okay! Let me start this by saying this is about the 4/5th time reading this book. I just got off a fresh reread so I have the details right. Also my reviews for the entire series will start like this.

I love Gideon and Eva. Always have always will but man they are seriously crazy. Both of them and I love them for it.

This book starts shortly after the first one ends with Eva figuring out what Gideon did for her. we are steadily seeing the two of them learn to work through issues together and realize they can fully trust on another. this book has a little more growth on Gideons part than Eva's we finally get more information about his past and trauma. im loving the shift of prospective in this book. it went from Eva and Gideon fighting each other and all the outside forces to them tackling the issues together. there is a trust and respect that comes with a relationship that is settled. Without a doubt they are made for each other.

As for the story line. I’m here for the drama. Gideon and Eva are having to deal with a ton of outside drama from both their Exs. i love how we are seeing them actively work together on things. I cant wait to continue their healing journey together. and to see the power house they will become together.

as always there isn’t lack of a story line if you take out the romance. Mrs Day is really good about writing a well rounded story. But the romance. 🔥🔥🔥🔥 had me hooked. And the spice!!! Hot damn.

But Without getting in to spoilers here are some of the story line high lights.

We have get more drama with Cary and his love life
Eva’s mom and dad 😵
The reporter
The Bracelet
The Cops
The Work friends (all of them i love them so much)
Golden

As always i highly recommend consuming this book Via Audiobook. The narration is top notch.

Not as good as it should have been

Would you consider the audio edition of Entwined With You to be better than the print version?

Jill is the perfect narrator for this book for me. I love the timber of her voice and I could listen to her read the phone book! I have not read the printed version...so I can't speak to that.

How would you have changed the story to make it more enjoyable?

In my opinion, Sylvia should have kept this story as a trilogy as was originally planned. This book didn't really add anything to the overall story that couldn't have been shortened and put in a final book. The other thing I would have changed was to have left out at least one or two of the additional stumbling blocks she threw up between Gideon and Ava. No couple could be THAT unlucky. After awhile, it got to be ridiculous. They need a break in between catastrophes!

Which character – as performed by Jill Redfield – was your favorite?

Gideon

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

No...as usual with these characters, I need to take it in small chunks. This series touched something in me. I am emotional about the characters...and when really bad things happen, I have to turn off the ipod and give it a rest before I can go back and pick it up again.

Any additional comments?

I have to say that Ava bugged me in this book. I felt that at the end of Reflected in You, Ava was more mature and less needy and impulsive. She took a giant step backwards for me in this book...her reactions to Brett really pushed some buttons for me and not in a good way. She seemed to jump all over the place in this book...sometimes level headed, sometimes ditzy or bitchy for no reason. Then when there seemed to be a reason to be bitchy, she backed off. I wish her character could sustain a level of maturity...it sometimes makes me feel bad for Gideon that she isn't the strong level-headed kick-ass wife he needs. But I will surely be back for the next installment in this story. I'm addicted to Gideon just as badly as Ava is!

GOOD BUT DISAPPOINTING!

Any additional comments?

I was disappointed after waiting months for this book to come out. I love the story, but expected, as Author had previously stated, that this was a trilogy. That being said I waited months to have all my questions answered just to find that the author apparently decided she had not made enough money and made the decision to drag the story out in this book and prepare to write another. That has really killed the entire story for me. Unfortunate, because I was really enjoying the story!

Awesome frustration

I have mixed feelings. It seems like we waited forever for this next part of the book and now we will have to wait again. I agree with other reviews in that the story is great but how much more can there be. I did feel in this book that the "I love you and will die without you" parts were a little overdone. However, I still love the characters and wait impatiently for the next book. I also felt like the book just ended but not with a cliff hanger or great scene but just ended. I actually rewound 60 seconds to ensure it did not skip. I think there are some good plot twist that can really be expanded upon but not sure why she didn't in this book. I love, love, love Jill Redfield. No one can narrate a sex scene like her. I still rated this book high because I cannot get enough of these characters. I just hope she starts to make Gideon a bit more alpha male in the next book vs a sappy love sick guy. It is still worth the credit and I will continue to recommend this series.

Not what you expect! But even Better!

I was so shocked that it was not the end of the series but O sooo happy!!
I had not read any reviews because I didn't want to ruin the story, so whilst listening I was confused because all of a sudden, I felt, that it seemed to just stop, which sucked, I like to have some kind of rap up!
It was great to see their relationship develop and to start to think about other characters in the story. I think that Eva's mother may have had something to do with the cover up..but I guess we will see!
Im so excited that there will be two more books.. Unlike other reviews I dont want it to end!

Oh That Gideon!!

Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?

Yes, I would recommend and have, actually. The whole Crossfire story has been a terrific journey; even better, to me, than the Fifty Shades trilogy. However, you cannot START with this book...it is imperative that you read the books in order.

Who was your favorite character and why?

Are you kdding??? GIDEON--he is the one of the fascinating characters I've read in a while. Oh sure, he's rich beyond measure but that's not the draw. He's gorgeous beyond measure, but that, too, is not the draw (doesn't hurt though). The appeal is the depth of feeling and emotion when it comes to Eva; his absolute focus on her, his love for her and his need for her. Holy crap...that did it for me.

Which character – as performed by Jill Redfield – was your favorite?

Actually, I liked her Gideon as I listened to all of the Crossfire books. Eva was not my favorite character AT ALL, even though Ms. Redfield played her well. Eva was written to be way too needy, whiny and, well, WHINY for my taste...even considering her the issues of her history.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

Yes but I practiced delay of gratification and listened to it in two sittings...the nice thing is that I can certainly listen to it again and again....and will.

Any additional comments?

As love stories go, this is a good one. WAY beyond reality, it's still sensual, powerful, entertaining, fun, and a downright HOT read.
