With only one month left in college, Ian is busy enjoying what time he has left with his friends. Since reaching maturity, his life hasn't been as carefree as it used to be, but he's found a way to fight his growing destructive urges by losing himself in women. That is until Paige enters his life and falls half dead into his arms. Looking only to keep her safe, Ian flees with her.
Paige has spent the past four years of her life training to fight and kill vampires. Her desire for revenge is the only thing that's kept her going, so when she's forced into hiding with Ian, she's determined to believe he's nothing but another monster in need of beheading. The more time they spend together, the more she begins to question what she's always believed about vampires. Unfortunately, if she lets him in, she'll have to admit that what she's fought so hard for may be nothing but a lie.
Ian is determined to make her see him for what he truly he is, and not what she believes him to be. He can only hope he'll be able to do so before she returns to her old life, and to the certain death awaiting her.

I absolutely love this series. I listen to each book from time to time. Romance, action, danger and a close loving family.
Ian is the third pure blood vampire to find his mate. The interesting twist is Paige, his dated mate, is aware vampires exists as her father is one and killed her mother. He is pursuing Paige to torment her. Paige has a fear and hatred of vampires but as in other stories the Burn family's loving caring nature results in her view.
There is romance, faithfulness and protectiveness i these stories that I love! a there is always an impediment that must be overcome, but each story is different and brings in other members of the family you've come to love.
Please keep theses coming
Plus Tavia Gilbert is one of the very best narrators....she is incredible.
Buy this series, you won't regret it
Talk about a wild ride in crazy land! Ha! Ian and his family must have magnets in their back pockets that draw them to danger. Seriously. One gets in trouble and it's like a domino effect. They all come crashing down.
This time it's Ian who gets into trouble, but he's not the only one. After rescuing some random girl from a vampire in an alley behind a bar, Ian finds himself on the run. And yes, the girl is with him. He couldn't just leave her behind.
Turns out the girl, Paige, is not only human, but she's working with the enemy. Paige has associated herself with hunters as a way to seek out revenge. She's on the hunt for a particular vampire and after four years she was face to face with him. If it hadn't have been for Ian, she'd have died
Now she is thrust into the supernatural world and will slowly learn that not all vampires are bad. The hunters didn't know everything after all. She is reluctant at first the .... when things start to go south and Ian has to once again save her life she learns not all vamps or men for that matter are bad.
It's a learning curve for them both. There is a man hunt for a vampire underway and both Ian and Paige fighting their lustful need for each other. Tight spaces and loud places make for one wicked ride in vampville!
I can't wait to jump to the next book!!!
Hopefully we we get multiple follow up books to this one. Brenda Davies does a great job of creating a believable yet still fantastic world in which we see the start of large Irish family and witness as each of the children finds their mates and starts family's of their own. What's interesting Liam's best friends are so integral to the first book yet are unable to find their mates. Not until book six does one of the "stooges" Liam's college buddies are referred to finds a hint of love. Hopefully we will see another six books dealing with the stooges finding their mates as well as Erica and Aidan. By then the younger generation should be fully matured and ready for love.
