This book was very shallow. The plot line was limited at best. The characters were not realistic. It was a dated story that lacked the needed substance. This book was a disappointment.
This book should give all writer-wannabes hope - You Too Can Be Published.
The Hero is a jerk if not a sociopath. There were so many times I thought that he would have to bite the dust for the story to find a happy ending. Unfortunately, that didn't happen.
The Heroine is so dense she would welcome home Jason, hockey mask and all. She would, no doubt, be thinking "Why is it he makes every cell in my body tingle?" Bleeeeeeack
However, I learned a lot about educating the deaf which may have been the main point of the book
No spoilers from me. I enjoy HOT, sexy books. No vampires, paranormal, 4 me.I'm running out this typeAudible-so on2 lighter romance/mystery.
This is an early Sandra Brown. The plot is unique but story IS predictable.
Lauri is a dedicated young teacher for the deaf. Her past conceals a wound still unhealed, her present is a facade, and she uses her career to hide her loneliness. Drake, daytime TV's most popular star, has two heartaches - the daughter he believes will never have a normal life and the dead wife he can't forget. Jennifer is the beautiful hearing-impaired child who may become a pawn between the man and the woman she needs the most. Now, in the heart of a New Mexico arts community, the three may become a family...but only if each one dares to find a voice and lets his or her fears and needs speak for themselves.
The deaf, young character-Jennifer-her relationships & interactions
She was an enjoyable narrator and did a good job with all characters.
A light romance, chic lit. There is nothing racy or scandalous...possibly a few swears but that's it.
As a Sandra Brown fan I enjoyed it, it kept my interest and moved along.
This was on sale and I was able to purchase at additional discount. I would not use a credit to purchase it.
Yes, it showed love between a father and his daughter and the extent he was welling to go to give her a normal life through her disability
The daughter Jennifer, how this little girl had to adjust to her environment
