Publisher's summary

Some feelings you just can't fight.

He is known as the Warrior Captain - a master of every weapon, a fierce soldier sworn to protect his kind. Powerful, relentless, merciless, Elijah has always won every battle he's ever taken on - until now. Ambushed by necromancers, he is left for dead only to be discovered by the woman who could very well deliver the final blow: Siena, the Lycanthrope Queen.

With three centuries of warring, little more than a decade of uneasy peace has existed between the Lycanthropes and Elijah's people. Now, after a lifetime of suspicion, the warrior in Elijah is consumed with a different battle - winning Siena's heart by giving her pleasure beyond all boundaries. What starts as attraction and arousal soon burns into a passion with consequences that will echo through the ages for both their people. And as would-be enemies become inseparable lovers, another threat approaches, one with the power to destroy them all.

Spend some more time with the Nightwalkers - if you dare.

Critic reviews

"Both leads are strong, and Frank grants her hero a refreshing measure of insight into the relationship. What works even better is the camaraderie that develops between the Nightwalker tribes, as Frank plunges deeper into her dark world." ( Publishers Weekly)

Elijah: Nightwalkers Series

Light, easy to listen to. This was my first Nightwalker Series book. Great narration with different voices and accents. Interested in listening to other books in the series.

Demons vs Lycanthropes ... who will win??

This is the third book in the Nightwalker series. This book revolves around Elijah, the Demon Warrior Captain and Siena, the Lycanthrope Queen. Ruth, the Demon Chancellor, has teamed up with the necromancers and they have trapped Elijah and have beaten him down to the brink of death. Luckily for Elijah, Siena was prowling nearby and scarred off the necros before they could deliver the death blow to him. Siena then pulls Elijah to safety in a nearby cave and starts tending to his wounds.

We know from earlier books that Elijah and Siena both have a hidden attraction for each other, but it is an attraction that is best hidden because mating between the two species is strictly forbidden for him. Because of the Lycanthrope history of war with the demon races, demons should be the last choice of a mate for lycanthropes also. So that is what makes it that much better! Forbidden love is so sweet.

Elijah and Siena try to fight the in grown prejudices they have for each other’s species, the growing attraction they have for each other, and the call of that dreaded moon has on their libido. It is difficult to do because every touch, every glance, and every breath draw them closer together.

I loved this book! I was worried when I didn’t enjoy the second in the series as much as the first that the series might be on a downward spiral, but I don’t think that anymore. I love the way Jacqueline Frank is putting folks together in her Nightwalker series and cannot wait to see what happens to Damien in the next book.

The Narration Review:
This book was narrated by Xe Sands, who also narrated the first two in the series. She has a very alluring voice and clear diction. I always think the production team must have to run to the showers after a session listening to her read.

Oh, dear!

This is my favorite book in all the Nightwalkers Series, Elijah and Siena being probably the best couple. And, again, great job Xe Sands!

redhat queen

As the other books before this one you continue to write a beautiful story. I can’t wait to listen to the rest of this series. I love this narrator.

My Favorite So Far

I've enjoyed this book more than the others so far. it's not as cringey. I'm happy that Anja was included again. I really hope she becomes a main character.

Jacquelyn Frank does it again! Best one yet!

I love this series by Jacquelyn Frank! She brings to life the species that we all know, and gives them a new twist. She keeps some of the old myths, but definitely puts her own flair on them. I love the characters. Xe Sands does a great job of bringing all the characters their own unique voice. I love Jacob and Gideon, but Elijah stole my heart. This is an excellent series that I would recommend for anyone.

Awesome book

Elijah did not disappoint me. The quality of the writing was right in line with all the other "named" books in this series. Jacquelyn Frank continued her fantastic story telling. I would read all these books in order because the previous characters are mentioned in the books that follow. The characters are very distinguishable and their powers are each different. Love finding out what each of their powers does. You really get to know the characters. They leave such an impression it is not hard to remember them in the following stories. Wish these would go on forever. This review written by Lynn.

Loved the excitment this book gives its listener

Let me start by saying Xe Sands does a great job at Narrating this series. The beginning of this book gets right to the point of excitement, The way the story unfolds is perfect, I really enjoyed listening to this book, actually it is the second time listening now. I would suggest listening to the previous books of this series so you can understand what is going on.

Daemon Meets Lycanthrope

3rd in the series, Elijah may actually be better than the first two (Jacob & Damien). The daemon warrior captain, Elijah, is mortally wounded and saved by the lycanthrope Queen, Siena. The first half of the book revolves around Siena's efforts to nurse Elijah back to health while trying to ignore the escalating romantic chemistry. Loved it, loved it! The rest of the book deals with how they wrestle with the inevitability of their imprinting... (like soul mates for the paranormal).

As the Nightwalker series continues, Frank seems to perfect her skill at describing the romantic chemistry between characters. With each book, the characters and situations get better and better. Hard to decide on a favorite. Sands' interpretation is well done and quite consistent. Unfortunately, I'm on the final book, Adam... so sad! If you like paranormal romance, this is one series you ought NOT miss!
