Good, not great

I found this book got a little boring at times, I really could have taken a little more drama. There was a long period of time when Kierra and Kellan's relationship is described, but it was just everyday stuff. I found myself really waiting for something (anything) to happen. I just loved the first book, but this book was a bit of a yawner for me.

Annoying

The female main character is written as a prude, whiny and annoying girl. The person reading the story makes the main male character sound like a weird monotoned man with no personality. The story is long and drug out, I couldn't wait for it to be over.

Here we go again

Juvenile romance. Kiera is so afraid of who she is the story reads like a therapy session. Skipping book 3.

Karma .. yaay

If I was the writer of this book I would re-name it as (Karma) .. that's right folks, Kiera does it again .. she "almost" cheated on her other boyfriend.. man this was .. slow yet it has a rhythm to it, still not convinced about the whole Kiera & Kellen relation but I think this one was better than the first.. y

Boring!!!

What disappointed you about Effortless?

I listened to the first 4 hours of this book, what a bore!!! There is no storyline, 4 hours of listening to: I got up in the morning, I went to uni, I was scared and my rockstar boyfriend is hot, is enough to put anyone in a coma... But I kept going thinking that sooner or later something will happen, but after 4 hours I decided that that was 4 hours of my life that I will never get back!!

What could S. C. Stephens have done to make this a more enjoyable book for you?

This is like a soap opera. You can skip more than one chapter&you won't have missed a thing. What have women for generations work toward for these types of girls. There wasn't a real woman in the entire story.
It's all about her immature, needy, silly "relationship".
It's all about the sex.
It's all about her unending list of insecurities& his.
Back and forth, back and forth just like high school.
3 downloads of too much meaningless sex, silly emotionally outbursts, a girl that has no self awareness at all. In the language of girls....whatever.
The production quality isn't the best on either of these books.
I take responsibility for purchasing these books. But Audible if you want to keep me as a customer you are going to have to figure a rating system so I do not unknowingly purchase these books that are meant for...well, in my opinion no one.
I love a good romance but I do require a story other than 3 downloads of this girl who has no story except her fears about what her boyfriend is doing. If this is a trend in romance I may have to go to non-fiction.

What would have made Effortless better?

Changing the personality of the main character for starters. She is so feable minded. Also the picture cover on the book - seems to be a mismatch to the story.

Anger - the main character was so self absorbed.

(1) This main character is someone that is clueless. She comes across like she's so innocent and the victim all the time. In reality, she's hurting people or requiring people to cater to her needs all the time. Also just unbelievable. Why would a rock star who could have anyone be drawn to such an annoying girl?

(2) There is no plot. Its just jealous, sex, jealous, sex, jealous, sex. No suspense, no suprises, nothing for the mind at all. Borning.

I had to stop listening.

I would have love it if there were a male and female co narrators.
