Publisher's summary

A demon enslaved.

Lore is a Seminus half-breed demon who has been forced to act as his dark master's assassin. Now to earn his freedom and save his sister's life, he must complete one last kill. Powerful and ruthless, he'll stop at nothing to carry out this deadly mission.

An angel tempted.

Idess is an earthbound angel with a wild side, sworn to protect the human Lore is targeting. She's determined to thwart her wickedly handsome adversary by any means necessary-even if that means risking her vow of eternal chastity. But what begins as a simple seduction soon turns into a passion that leaves both angel and demon craving complete surrender.

Torn between duty and desire, Lore and Idess must join forces as they battle their attraction for each other. Because an enemy from the past is rising again-one hellbent on vengeance and unthinkable destruction.

GREAT book, but bad narrator...

I am in LOVE with these Demonica Novels by Larissa Ione. (I really hope that she writes more than 5 books!) I also really enjoyed the first 3 audio downloads, but this one, book #4, is my least favorite. Again, the book itself is fantastic, as good as the other 3. Yet I had a very hard time listening to this male narrator. I wish that they would have used a female narrator as they did for the other books in this series. (Why wouldn't they use the same narrator for each book in the series????) He sounds way too snooty, radio commerical, to read the dirty talking and great sex scenes that are in this book. His voice really made if difficult to get into the book like i did with the others. The others I could listen to over and over, but not this 4th book. SAD!!!!

Terrible Narrator

I love this series, but I don't think I can finish this book because of the terrible narration. I have only listened to seven minutes and I am already annoyed. I just can't understand why a guy was chosen (especially this one) when all the other books have been narrated by females. He draws out sentences and has weird pauses. I am seriously disappointed!

Ione really pours on the sizzle in this book!

I pick-up a Demonica novel every time I’m in the mood for something a little more risqué than my typical reads and Larissa Ione really pours on the sizzle in this installment. All five audio books in this series have different narrators and Ecstasy Unveiled is the first time that a man has been selected for the job. Paul Boehmer nails the voice of Lore; he can talk dirty to me anytime! His portrayal of female characters is also surprisingly good. I’m still not entirely sure whether it was his sexy voice that pushed my review into 5 star territory or Ione’s writing but regardless, this is my favourite Demonica novel!

Lore isn’t part of the original three seminus brothers that started this series so I was surprised that I enjoyed his character as much as I did. I felt like he was the first demon who actually played his role to its full potential. He’s not clear cut good or evil and I liked that about him because he is a hell spawn after all and should act accordingly! Eidolon’s a sweetie but sometimes he’s just a little too righteous for me. I’m a sucker for bad boys and Lore definitely fits the bill in this installment. I enjoyed the complexity of his character; he was born human and didn’t learn about his seminus side until he received a harsh wake-up call when he reached maturity. Its one thing to grow up knowing that you’re a sex demon but quite another to have the news sprung on you later on in life. His “gift” is actually more of a curse and has forced him to distance himself from all intimate contact which is a huge deal given his seminus nature and the reasons he became an assassin are surprisingly well-intentioned. All this to say that there’s definitely more to Lore than what meets the eye!

I enjoyed the demon/angel match-up in this book; you can’t get more opposite than that. Idess has her own issues to deal with and it was refreshing to see her struggling with her moral dilemmas right along side Lore, albeit their quandaries are very different in nature. The angel took a vow of celibacy but ends up testing its limits in order to help ease the seminus brother’s suffering which made for some rather creative intimate encounters. As a result, this installment has more sex than any of its predecessors (now that’s what I’m talking about!). There’s also a lot more to this story that just the relationship aspect; there’s conflict between the brothers, the seminus equivalent of Smurfette makes an appearance and the hospital is taking fire from an unforeseen foe.

The Demonica books are renowned for delivering plenty of heat and intensity; Ecstasy Unveiled goes beyond that by adding outstanding character development and world building to the mix. This installment is a must read for all paranormal romance borderline erotica enthusiasts.

Narrator doesn't match the book AT ALL!

Wow, the rest of the comments are correct, the narrator has the completely wrong voice for this type of book. Too "proper". Book is good, but the narrator almost makes you feel like your dad is reading it to you... weird...

Sexy Demons

I love all the Demonica Books. Each time I finish one I decide that it's is my favorite! This series reminds me a little of the Black Dagger Brotherhood books. The characters are all good looking, sexy and interact with each other in a believable way. I did not dislike this narrator. I almost didn't buy this due to the reviews about the narrator - I have heard many others much worse than Paul. I don't think you would regret using one of your credits.

Lore & Idess...

I want to preface this by saying that I am totally in LOVE with this series. Larissa Ione has a fantastic imagination! She can make all the parts and players fall right into place just when you think there is no way it can or will work. And she does it so smoothly!

Angels and Demons and Death.. OH MY! Can an angel love a demon? Can a demon be good? Why would an angel protect a demon? These are all questions that Larissa Ione builds this installment on. We see all of the Demon brothers and their mates and children from the previous books. I really enjoy knowing what the others are doing and that they are all still a big part of the story.

In this book we meet Seminus Demon Lore and his twin sister Sin, Sin is the first and only female Seminus Demon every born, and Idess, an angel trying to ascend and get her wings. How these 3 come together is breathtakingly sexy and action packed! There is a lot of action in part 4 of the Demonica series, more than the last 2 I think, not as much sex, but when there *is*, it's HOT!

This is a "not to be missed" installment of this series, and a series I think best read in order.

Now, with that said, I'm listening to this series on audio books, and I have to ask.. why oh WHY would she have Paul Boehmer narrate this story!? I actually had to FORCE myself to listen to him! Odd pauses, drawn out words, odd accent, and when he tried to speak as a female character he sounded horrible and unbelievable. As a previous poster said, "the narrator almost makes you feel like your dad is reading it to you...". When this guy says "balls" it comes out "boohhhawwwls", and all the erotic, steamy, sex talk/scenes sound creepy in his voice. He just can't pull it off. I really can't stress enough how bad he is.

The first 2 audio books in this series had excellent narrators, the third book, in retrospect (and after listening to this guy), was okay. This one, unless you MUST listen to it on audio book, I'd suggest actually reading the book.

Don't like the narrator

Like the series, but I can't get into the male narrator speaking in a woman's voice.
