Humans aren't as alone as they choose to believe. Every human possesses a supernatural trait that lies dormant within their genetic makeup. Centuries of diluting and breeding have allowed humans to think they are alone and untouched by magic. But what happens when something changes?
Neat freak lab tech Lily Banner lives her life as any ordinary human. She's dedicated to her work and loves to hang out with her friends at Dante's Circle, their local bar. When she discovers a strange blue dust at work, she meets a handsome stranger holding secrets - and maybe her heart. But after a close call with a thunderstorm, she may not be as ordinary as she thinks.
Shade Griffin is a warrior angel sent to Earth to protect the supernaturals' secrets. One problem: He can't stop leaving dust in odd places around town. Now he has to find every ounce of his dust and keep the presence of the supernatural a secret. But after a close encounter with a sexy lab tech and a lightning-quick connection, his millennia old loyalties may shift, and he could lose more than just his wings in the chaos.

Dante's Circle Book One.

Later that night, a freak lightning strike hits Lily and her friends in the bar Dante's Circle. After being together, Lily and Shade discover she is actually a supernatural creature, too. Now they must find out how to survive with another angel on the warpath.
Gregory Salinas narrates with an enthusiastic dramatization that can be a bit over-the-top at times. He uses a breathy voice for most of the book, even in everyday scenes without a hint of romance. If you enjoy the drama, this will be a great narration.
If you're looking for a new supernatural series with non-religious angels, dragons and other supernaturals this is the book for you!
He truly did the best he could with such horrid writing, I felt sorry for the guy. You could tell he was trying his best to help out, but really had nothing to work with. The plot could have been good, if the writing hadn't been so juvenile. I am very disappointed in what should have been a good book. I cannot finish this one, which is rare for me.
From the moment I first read Dust of My Wings it has been one of my favorite books. Having listened to it now in audio format my enjoyment of it has doubled. Salinas has done great justice to Carrie Ann Ryan's work. The different tones and inflections of each character was fantastic.
I was give this book by the author for a honest review.
I was given an audible version of this book for my review. First let's start with that. This is my first audio book I have ever done. It wasn't bad. Different from actually reading it.
As for the book. I loved it. It was a great story and a must read. I love Shade and that he is an angel. I loved learning about him and his past. I hope we get to see more of him in Ambrose book. Ambrose is his best friend who is a angel too. But he is more of a closed of person. I can't wait to see him open up. Lily is a human who comes across Shade. But Lily life is about to change. This is a great book. It keeps you drawn from page one. Wondering what will happen next. A must read. Can't wait to read the next one and find out Ambrose deep dark secrets and pains. Grab your copy today. It's so worth it. Loved loved loved this book.

Made me smile
I had previously read this book, but found listening to it made it come alive.
I just have to say that after reading this book and falling head over heels in love with the whole premise - I waited SO IMPATIENTLY for the next book to be released that the thought of having it be one of the first audiobooks I listened to - made me super duper nervous!
Would the speaker capture the essence of the characters? How could he do justice to both the male and female parts? AND most importantly - would it ruin a book I already counted as a favorite?
The answers came to light quickly - the voice over artist was simply brilliant! He has a deep growly voice that makes these alpha males come even more real. Also, he's so talented that his women voices were not ridiculous - the flowed so nicely - not choppy or something the listener would find themselves 'put off' by. And last but certainly not leas, I don't like the book any less - if possible I have a deeper love for it and the series than before. I'm definitely still a book lover - but now I'm an audiobook fan too!
