A fun, escapist forray into Half-Moon Hollow

I love this series, especially in audiobook form. They are light and fun books perfect for escaping the hassles and stresses of real life. I wish I lived in Half-Moon Hollow, chauffeuring vampires around and hanging out in the specialty bookstore. There's not much suspense, and the romance isn't really as "sizzling" as Audible proclaims, but I still enjoyed this book immensely. The narrator delivers the lines perfectly.

Enjoyable and fun

This was a fun book that your sure to enjoy. Narrator is really good and smooth. I enjoy a series of books, and usually longer, but sometimes I just want something fun, quick and simple. This book fit the bill perfectly!

Funny but not as good as Molly's other books

I've read everything Molly Harper has written. I don’t know where she comes up with all of these funny stories. The humor just keeps on a rolling. Are these people she has known in her life or does she draw ideas from old movies?
At first I did not like the book because of the Colin character. Talk about anal with no sense of humor… I liked Miranda the klutz! The truck driver scene turned me around. Then I got into the book. Before then I was stalling out.
This is not one of Molly’s best books but I did enjoy it. I'd bet money that this ends up another series judging from the ending and I will read the next one.

Another hot story

Harper loves to tell her vampire jokes in story form and provides sympathetic characters with mothers who worry and friends from other books. Jane Jamison and other characters from her vampire stories make an appearance. The hero is a tough and lovely tomboy who is not easily rattled. Her first job is to deliver a cantankerous vampire across country for a meeting. They don't seem to get on well at all, and of course the comic mishaps and subsequent fear and shame give lots of giggles. Love Molly Harper!!

Super funny and quick!

What did you love best about Driving Mr. Dead?

I really like all of Molly Harper's books and this one is no exception. Certainly a lot shorter and quicker than her others but I enjoyed it all the same.

Have you listened to any of Amanda Ronconi???s other performances before? How does this one compare?

Amanda Ronconi seems to be the perfect narrator for the Molly Harper books. Does not disappoint at all.

I like this world!

This was actually my second visit to Half Moon Hollow, and it was a fun one. These books don't take themselves too seriously; they're simply light, easy reads and that's fine by me. I enjoyed the characters and the setting and will probably buy another Half Moon Hollow book and/or others by Molly Harper at some point in the future (when there's a good Audible sale).

Amanda Ronconi did a good job narrating, bringing just the right tone to the story.

What made the experience of listening to Driving Mr. Dead the most enjoyable?

The characters are loveable and engaging. The writing had me laughing out loud so many times I lost count. This book and all the books in the series have you eager for the next paragraph but dreading the books eventually having to end.

Amanda Ronconi's performance really is an asset as well. She enhances the story and helps pull the reader in even more deeply.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

I loved this book and am listening to it for a second time this week.

Light Vampire romance. Nothing serious. Just Fun!

Eventually. Amanda Ronconi has a pleasing voice and the story is short and sweet.

What was one of the most memorable moments of Driving Mr. Dead?

When the light in the hotel room almost fell and struck our heroine.

What about Amanda Ronconi’s performance did you like?

Her inflections fit the character and her voice was perfect for the part. She did a nice job. She's now on my list of readers I'd like to hear again.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

No. It's light listening with no real compelling ends to chapters that force you to continue on when there are other things to be done.

Any additional comments?

It was fun listening, light, with an excellent reader. A pleasant way to spend 5 (non-continuous) hours.

Liked both lead characters about the same. It was enjoyable to hear them grow and come into themselves.

I couldn't wait to get my house cleaning over with so that I could sit and listen to the rest of the story. Will enjoy listening to this one over many times! Looking forward to hearing more of Molly Harper's books. This was a first time listen, but it will not be the last!
