Publisher's summary

The son of Warcraft and Hate, Cratus spent eternity battling for the ancient gods who birthed him. He was death to any who crossed him. Until the day he laid down his arms and walked into self-imposed exile. Now an ancient enemy has been unleashed and our dreams are his chosen battlefield. The only hope we have is the one god who swears he will never fight again.

As a Dream-Hunter, Delphine has spent eternity protecting mankind from the predators who prey on our unconscious state. But now that her allies have been turned, she knows in order to survive, the Dream-Hunters need a new leader. Someone who can train them to fight their new enemies. Cratus is her only hope. But she is a bitter reminder of why he chose to lay down his arms. Time is running out and if she can't win him to her cause, mankind will be slaughtered and the world we know will soon cease to exist.

Great story-awful narrator!!

All of Sherrilyn Kenyon's books are awesome!!! I wish that Ms. Kenyon had some say as to who was chosen as the narrator for this book. If you can endure the narrator, the story is awesome. But, then again, the narrator is awful. Narrators for certain series should be chosen according to customers' ratings such as Fred Berman-his narration for Kenyon's other books have been very well. If it wasn't for the narrator, I would give the book a full 5 stars!!

this guy was the worst narrator I have ever listened to. I will not ever listen to another book he reads.

My ears... my ears...

Oh my gosh... Please-please-please rerecord this book with a different narrator, I will buy it again. I am turning the book off... I honestly believe this narrator is mocking the audience that favors romance novels. He went out of his way to make characters sound very corny. William has a very nice voice, and I noticed that he got quite high reviews for books other than romance. Thus my conclusion that he is simply being disrespectful.

Good story

Not her best and narrator really makes it a tough listen. Wish they could keep the same narrator as the last book.

Bob the Builder + love scenes = straight cringe

I loved reading this one in paper back when it first came out. The story was wonderfully done and loved the ending, but it was difficult to get threw the audio knowing that the narrorator is the same guy who voiced Bob in the children's show Bob the Builder. Not only was it hard to get past some of his dialog choices for Jericho and Zerick as well as other characters, but it was especially cringy during the saucy love making scenes.

Great Book

I loved the book but hated the narrator. I did not like the narrator's voice and his pronouncation of names of the characters. However, I did say with book until the end. It appeared there was a voice change near the end of the book. I could really enjoyed the bood as I enjoy all of Ms. Kenyon's novels in all of the dark series.

Terrible narrator!

I absolutely adored this book and I love to read and listen to the books at the same time but with this narrator I just couldn't.....I have listened to a good portion of these books but when it came to this book and one silent night I had to read without a narrator I will never listen to William dufris again.

Just as bad narration as the last.

Again the narrator read it like he was mocking the story the entire time and the voices were laughable....like they should have been in a cartoon, just goofy. Again we had to deal with different pronunciations of name and words. He was as bad as previous reviews said and just as bad as the previous book. I considered skipping it but didn't want to miss the progress of the story. It wasnt as good as the previous books (narrator aside) and honestly not a ton of story progression, mostly changes for the dream hunters, so if you skipped it our of sheer annoyancewoth the narrator you're not missing much. I'm totally invested in this series so I sucked it up but it's not worth a credit.

Seriously, Fred Bermann and Holter Graham are masters of their craft, wish one of them read the entire series! I prefer Fred but would take Holter over this clown any day.

Other PRN books I think are fantastic are anything by Jeaniene Frost, Heather Hunter's Irin Chronicles (really beautifully written and narrated), Dianne Duvall's Immortal Guardian Series, Jacqueline Frank's Nightwalker Series, Nalini Singh's Guild Hunter Series, J. D. Tyler's Alpha Pack Series and Tessa Dawn's Blood Curse series (very dark take on vampires). Patricia Brigg's Alpha and Omega series is really good too, thou more just paranormal than a PRN, romance is subtle but totally worth a listen unless you require steam. Most of these are available in the Romance Package which is a bonus if you like to binge.
