From #1 New York Times best-selling Author Sherrilyn Kenyon
The spellbinding Dream-Hunter series continues!
Hades doesn’t often give second chances....
Xypher has one month on Earth to redeem himself through one good deed or be condemned to eternal torture in Tarturus. But redemption means little to a demigod who only wants vengeance on the one who caused his downfall.Until one day in a cemetery....
Simone Dubois is a medical examiner with a real knack for the job. Those who are wrongfully killed appear to her and help her find the evidence the police need to convict their killers. But when a man appears and tells her that she’s more than just a psychic, she’s convinced he’s insane. Now the fate of the world hangs in her hands....
It was bad enough when just the dead relied on her. Now’s there’s the seductive Dream-Hunter Xypher who needs Simone’s help in opening a portal to the Atlantean hell realm to fight insatiable demons. The future of mankind is at stake - and so is her life. The only question now is: Who is the bigger threat: the demons out to kill her, or the man who has left her forever changed?

Being that I am avid audiobook listener and a love of great stories that pulls you in right away. Let me start with this book in just one in a large book series that Sherrilyn Kenyon has written that I have fallen in love with and I know that many others will too. She has the ability to pull you in by the way the characters are introduced. With sexy appeal and the swagger rolls out of the voice of Fred Berman and you are able to picture them in your minds eyes. The struggles to not love and want to protect his reluctant cuffed partner Simone Dubois, Xypher not only falls in love with her, but would learn to trust her and teach him how to live.
I haven't been a huge fan of the Dream Hunter part of Kenyon's series but I really enjoyed Xypher in Devil May Cry and decided that I had to give this a chance. I'm so glad I did!
I really enjoyed this story and I am glad that Kenyon showed how a person can start out with bad intent, and then grow and choose a higher purpose. I truly enjoyed the story and I look forward to finding out much more about Jayden. The small peak into his life we're given at the end has me very intrigued.
Great story! Interesting point of view, with Zipher (my spelling is horrendous!) being the character who was so evil from a previous book being the hero here. Interesting hearing more about Jayden as well.
Yes, because I could listen to Fred Berman all day.
I liked that it filled in some holes to other books and what is coming in future books.
I love Jaden. Can't wait to find out more about his story.
Didn't think that I would enjoy listening to books versus reading but I must admit I am now ADDICTED!!
This was an awesome book read all the DH series now giving this a try.
Hello, my name is Teresa and I'm an addict.
I listened to this series some time ago, I realized there were a few books that I haven't reviewed. So here we go. I love Sherrilyn Kenyon. The Dream Hunter series isn't exactly a spin off form the Dark Hunter series more of an integration of a new pantheon of sorts. This is a series that I could defiantly listen to more than once and like any series there are some books better than others. Love the narrator.
Avid reader/listener of romance, action, thrillers, and spy novels.
Yes, mainly because I like to listen to the stories while I work around the house and study my bio classes.
When Simone finally gets Xypher to let his guard down around her by buying him dinner.
Jesse. Who doesn't love a ghost from the 80's?
I love reading, I love audible books even more, I don't have to stop listening when I have things to do or plsces to go...I can do both!!!
I have read or listened to almost all of the Dark Hunter series, and love it when pieces slip into place. I have not read them in order, so I consider it a bonus when I learn what was going on in the background, so to speak, during another books plot. Once again, I was thrilled when I listened to this book. I enjoyed the plot, and I love Jessie. It's a fun, sarcastic wit that makes me want to continue enjoying these characters. Especially since I have a very similar personality. I, as always, look forward to the next book I will listen to from this series.
