A Woman on a Mission
Grace Clark has always done things safely. She's never colored outside of the law, but she has a book due and has found the perfect spot to break through her writer's block. Or so she thinks. Right up until Arian suddenly appears and tries to force her away from the mountain. Unaware of the war she just stumbled into, Grace doesn't just discover the perfect place to write, she finds Arian - the most gorgeous, enticing, mysterious man she's ever met.
A King with a Purpose
Arian is a Dragon King who has slept away centuries in his cave. Recently woken, he's about to leave his mountain to join his brethren in a war when he's alerted that someone has crossed onto Dreagan. He's ready to fight...until he sees the woman. She's innocent and mortal - and she sets his blood aflame. He recognizes the danger approaching her just as the dragon within him demands he claim her for his own....

If I didn't love the series I would not have finished this one . The narrator was just awful. Bring back Anthony!
I absolutely love these books but I almost quit this one and probably would have if it weren't so short because of the performance. I think the narrator is likely a very good matador but not for these books. Her interpretation of Grace made her sound whiny and nasaly. The Scottish accent was very unbelievable and almost sounded Russian.
The story on the other hand was good.
I love Donna Grant books, I was so happy to download 1001 Dark Nights to listen while I work until I heard the narrator's voice! I couldn't take it... I stopped listening. I'll have to read it on my kindle Fire. Whoever is in charge of picking the narrator for her books PLEASE go back to Anthony Ferguson. Check out Dave Gillies, he has a nice voice.
The narrator completely ruined the characters for me. Grace always sounded like a "dumb blonde" and a whiny b*tch who couldn't figure out what her fake accent was supposed to be. and Arian sounded like an old Scottish man and was just hard to listen to overall.
I have followed the entire series so far and loved the other books but this one was SUPER hard to get through.
This series of books on the Dragon kings just keeps getting better and better. I am waiting for the next book already. I see so much and feel like I'm in the book itself when I read this writers books. wonderful and such an amazing good job.
