A young girl nearing her 25th birthday begins to have strange experiences such as a brook in the woods behind her apartment that wasn't there before. Dreams of being in Scotland and approached by men from another time. parallel to her experience is that of two men in long ago Scotland meeting her and 'puff' suddenly she's gone. Things begin to evolve and discovered to explain what is occurring...including a letter from her father, she was adopted, with a mysterious message that may be revealed on her birthday.
I enjoyed that it moved along quickly and I liked the characters so that always makes the story interesting. Romance, paranormal, mystery...a little of everything to whole your interest!
The narrator did a nice job with a Scottish accent, which I always enjoy accents...emotion, change in voices and pacing was very good.
I would recommend this book if you enjoy time travel and the suspension of belief aspect...which to me is the enjoyment of romance paranormal books. Give it a listen! The ending leaves you hanging, but not an absolute cliffhanger, but does make you want to read the next book
Not really. It was a little confusing to me.
When she got caught looking and ran away.

This is a lovely romance about a modern woman time traveling to the past to meet up with a very hot Scottish warrior. Hard to go wrong with that. I liked the story premise and how the time travel comes about for Jami. Also, how Jami keeps loyal to her friend good friend Todd throughout the twits and turns of what’s happening to her. The only disconnect for me was her strong dislike for her adopted mother. I don’t feel I got a good understanding of why that was. Overall this is a very good romance. The narration was also very well done!
Time- travel, Scotland and a Highlander how can you go wrong.
Entertaining and enjoyable story. Although it did start out a bit slow and it took a while to really get pulled into the story. After a few chapters the story picks up.
A bit of Romance, mystery, intrigue and magic. Of coarse the Fae are involved.
Jami has a destiny to fulfill only it's not in the time or place she thought it would be. I liked the way the time-travel took place for Jami, being able to go between the two time periods, she didn't just disappear from the present. Loved the Gypsy's. Everyone needs a Gypsy in their corner when dealing with the Fae and prophecy's.
The romance between Jami and Devlin builds very slowly and they really don't connect until almost the end of the book. The story ends in a continuation. Not a huge cliffhanger but not a complete resolution for the H & h and the clan.
Lesley Parkin did a good job with the narration. Pleasant voice. Nice pace. Wide range of character voices. She did a really good gravelly male Highlander voice. Very enjoyable.

the story is engaging and captivating. As you begin to listen the story, you may even wonder if is worth listening to the end, but after the third chapter, the story begins to capture the listener a way that makes impossible (and painfully annoying) have to leave the book aside.
I love all the characters because each one has something very interesting (a secret or a way to help).
Yes, absolutely I wanted to listen to all in one sitting... Have to leave the book aside to sleep (because I Always listen at night) was so annoying. Daily I sleep early, because I need Wake up 5:30, But the day I started this book I was sleep almost 1:30, because I was uncapable of turn off my ipod.
A wonderful story. I loved everthing and I was very sad when I reached the end and found out it was not yet released the continuation of the story ... A book with a subtle story, for people who like a novel where the girl is not a helpless maiden, but a young woman who sees unsafe and powerful on the choices.
I loved the story line it was very interesting
There was some really great elements that all together made for a great book
Also wants not to love about Hot Sexy men in kilts
The narrator did a wonderful job of giving an amazing experience
