Since half-vampire Cat Crawfield and her undead lover Bones met six years ago, they’ve fought against the rogue undead, battled a vengeful Master vampire, and pledged their devotion with a blood bond. Now it’s time for a vacation. But their hopes for a perfect Paris holiday are dashed when Cat awakes one night in terror. She’s having visions of a vampire named Gregor, who’s more powerful than Bones and has ties to her past that even Cat herself didn’t know about.
Gregor believes Cat is his and won’t stop until he has her. As the battle begins between the vamp who haunts her nightmares and the one who holds her heart, only Cat can break Gregor’s hold over her. She’ll need all the power she can summon in order to bring down the baddest bloodsucker she’s ever faced … even if getting that power will result in an early grave.

Believer in what you can't see
Yes, I would definitely recommend this story. It is very funny, intelligently written and suspenseful. I walk dogs for a living and the time goes very quickly while I listen to Jeanien Frost.
I would compare this with any of Kresley Cole's books, because her books are also very funny, intelligently written and suspenseful.
No I haven't, but I would compare her to Johanna Parker that narrates Sookie Stakehouse series.
No, but that ok.
I am easily amused!
Do not miss this book if you like paranormal tales with action, gore, and hot romance. Brilliant narration. Loved it and all others available from Jeaniene Frost.
Something about yourself.
I think this series is not getting better. The story is OK but Cat is becoming annoying and whining. Now I hear the name of this narrator and start to cringe because I hear that strident voice arguing with everything and always having to have the last word and always knowing more than everyone else. . I only enjoyed this story when Bones finally gave Cat a setdown.
I might try one more book but not sure if it will redeem this series for me.
I love, love, love this series. This book does not disappoint. Sometimes the books get worse in a series as you go along, but not this one. Can't wait for the next one to come out!
I have a real crazy in love relationship with books!!!
I enjoyed reading this book as I have all of the others in the series. I really love the Cat and Bones relationship. I also love the supportive characters and really look forward to reading their stories in the future.
As always, Tavia's narration is spot on and downright awesome!
In saying all that, I will honestly say this....this was not my favorite book in the series. It was good just not the best. I felt like this one could have possibly been a little more farfetched than I expected. Even still, I enjoyed it.
Reading is a must-have ESCAPE...
Halfway to the Grave, Book 1 and One Foot in the Grave, Book 2 were action-packed and wonderfully engaging. Though I wasn't crazy about At Grave's End, Book 3, this installment begins a tad slower (through the first dozen or so chapters), the story quickly develops and you won't want to put it down. Great characters introduced (Fabian, Gregor, Knell, Geri) while Frost further develops the secondary characters (Vlad, Mencheres, Spade) from the earlier editions. Again, the narrator, Tavia Gilbert, has no trouble distinguishing between these well developed characters in her performance.
Many elements of the story are worthy of mentioning... the relationship between Vlad & Cat progresses, friction between Cat & Bones, major drama with Cat's mother and Rodney, discovery of Cat's hidden power --- no spoiler here :-) and the culmination of a final battle between the master vampires.
You'll easily get hooked!
So many books...so little time! :)
This one really left me on the edge of my seat, as Cat and Bones face their biggest test of love ever!!
Cat finds out that she doesn't remember an entire month from her past...a month in which she was bound to another vampire before she ever met Bones.
Although Cat feels she is protecting Bones, she ends up straining their relationship like never before! And as a result she is forced to face the decision between her humanity and her vampirism.
Probably one of the best books out of the series thus far...my favorite for sure!
I have twice so far and will again, just like the rest in this series.
Cat and Bones are always great but Vlad was a great character with his interactions with Cat. they made a great pair.
Her voices and the way she brings the book to life.
Not your run of the mill Vampire, love story.
These are great stories, get the first book if you have not already and listen to the entire series in order. You will not regret it.
Great mix of action, humour and romance, I bought the first book and now have purchased all of them. Tavia Gilbert gives a great performance its almost a dramatisation rather than a reading she does such a good job with the different characters
This series keeps getting more addictive with every book. I love the characters, the dialogue and the action. I like that Frost doesn't make Bones and Cat's relationship storybook. Instead, they have to fight to make things work and this book was a prime definition of fighting for a relationship. I got so caught up in the audiobook that I ended up just sitting in my bedroom listening to the last 2 1/2 hours because I had to know how it was going to turn out. There were a couple of unexpected turns in this book. Once again Gilbert does an excellent job with the narration. Even her voice for Bones is starting to grow on me.
