The New York Times and USA Today best-selling author of the explosively sexy Inside Out and the Secret Life of Amy Bensen series will seduce you with this sultry tale of possession and ecstasy, wild fantasies and dangerous secrets - first in the racy and suspenseful Careless Whispers series.
Ella awakes alone in Italy, no longer sure of who she is. One thing is certain: a gorgeous man has claimed her as his own. He's tall, dark, and sexy, the kind of rich, powerful man who makes a girl long to be possessed. And possess her he does, whispering wicked promises in her ear, indulging her deepest desires, stealing her trust - and her cautious heart. Soon, though, she discovers that nothing is as it seems. The truth will shatter her world, but it will also set her free...if it doesn't destroy her first.
Denial is Book One in a standalone series that spins off from the INSIDE OUT series (soon to be a TV show). New listeners can enjoy this without listening to INSIDE OUT but those who love INSIDE OUT will FINALLY find out what happened to Ella!

It is a disapointment when we have been misled with a simple statment, stand alone. Lisa Renee we will still buy your books even without a cliff. The problem most authors don't realize is we are reading many books before the next comes out in a series and when there is a cliff we often can't remember the details for the next in line. Your books are enteraining but not enough to reread to get the details to throughly enjoy the next in the series. OK I maybe a minority here but I would have waited the year or two for the entire series to come out before I will buy a cliff.
I was intriged to see where Lisa would take this story. Ella has been mentioned and there was always the question of where and what happened to her. I feel the story was slow at the start and the conversations that took place in the short time between Kyden and Ella are a bit farflung. What underground kingpin will divulge the details in the short few days they knew each other. Really? She may have been married, deeply in love and the lust and trust in this situations was too unrealistic. Needless to say we still want to know what happens.
I am a Lisa Renee Jones fan just a bit disapointed.
Most series leave you wanting more but don't end just leaving you hanging. This one just cuts you off, like the end of a section, not the end of a book. There needs to be a completion of each book, as in the Nora Roberts series that make me want to immediately get the next book in a series, but there's a distinct closure to each book in a series.
Probably not. I loved the story and the characters, but I don't trust her not to leave the book hanging as in this one. Talk about Denial, we were all denied an ending.
The performance was well done, with clearly defined characters. I enjoyed it.
Only if the whole story were told.
Great story and characters, but the abrupt ending ruined it for me.
I thought the story line was great. Enjoyed the suspense. But, I'm in total shock at how the Author didn't finish it? What was she thinking!
First book I've read.
I found as a narrator she did an exceptional job.
Yah. The end! I just couldn't believe it just ended abruptly. Leaving me totally hanging. I mean seriously!!! At least finish the story with a slight inference to another continuing saga.
I will give her one more chance with one of her books but, if it's anything like this one it's not worth it to me to continue on with any others if she's always going to leave you hanging? Their is nothing wrong with continuing on with another saga but, not a total incompletion of the whole story. Their are too many other authors out their who can give it all. She's a good author but, needs to do it right!
The story takes too long to go anywhere and when you think you will have the storyline all wrapped up the book ends! Leading you to read book 2 however I don't recommend this book. Sorry sex scenes too
Ella wakes to find herself lost to the world and herself. She has no recollection of who she is or where she comes from. She's left to the mercy of a mysterious man she "thinks" is hell bent on helping her find her past and keeping her safe from the crime lord looking for her. Denial is a nail biting, page turning, roller coaster ride of twists and turns in love, lust and betrayal. A MUST READ!!
Books books books
Inside Out its not, nor is it Amy Benson but a bit of both and for me not interesting. I found this book of Ella to be a waste of time and to think I was so eager for it to be released because I loved the other two series. I hope her next series Dirty Money will be worth the read or listen. Not even the narrator made the book for me
Anyone who just wants to listen to a book
The story kept saying the samething over and over.
Her voice was not right for this book
instead of 7 hours this book could have ended in two.
"Another BRILLIANT Listen!"
Intrusive & mystery
Love & Naughty Naughtier
& Finally.......a cliffhanger
So worth listening to Lisa's books!
Really enjoyed this book from start to finish , looking forward to the next two , the narration was also excellent , the narrator can often make or break a book but Elizabeth Louise nailed it hope she get the next two
