New Orleans coven leader, Jade Calhoun, is embarking on a hellish mission. Literally. A week ago her ex sacrificed himself to Hell in order to save Jade's mother. While he suffers, Jade will stop at nothing to bring him home...even if it means working with Lailah, an angel she's never trusted.
But the stakes are raised when Jade discovers her boyfriend, Kane, is marked by a demon. The very same one who tried seducing him right before Jade's eyes. Now Kane's life is on the line, and consequently, Jade's soul is compromised. She'll need all the help she can get, including Lailah's, as she fights her way through Hell to save her ex and Kane - and her entire existence.

Maybe. It would depend on the friend and their tastes. It's a little flightly and the narration is just ok.
Jade. Her voice and strength are the best part of her.
I hate her voice for Leila. It is very irritating. But maybe that was the way she meant it to be. It's a little hard to take her seriously when her voice is so flighty and grating.
I'm pretty sure that I would not.
I hope the next book is better. Time to change narrators.
This review is for both the ebook and the audiobook because I have both and read parts and listened to part. This is my favorite book in this series so far now. Things were really intense all the way through. I had gut wrenching sorrow and anger at Mary. I don't want to spoil it but I will say, while I wasn't completely happy with the way it ended, I was satisfied. I'm curious how things go in the next books after reading all the Pyper books and knowing how Jade is in the future.
I absolutely loved how Jade has grown into her powers and her really owning her witch ability. A lot of stuff was happening in this book. It was also so wonderful to watch her and Kane's love grow.
This is the most wonderful narrator. It was like she was telling the story, not reading it. She's a natural with a nice voice.
Gosh, I don't know. I can't think of anything good enough that would do it justice. I was thinking the whole time how I wish it were a tv series.
I hope Deanna never stops writing these characters.
Merry meet merry part till merry meet again
When He trades places with her mother in, "hell'. Pun intended "all hell breaks " out around her and her friends. It alot more complicated then she ever thought it would be, Lives are in real danger, worse Souls are in jeopardy.
Who soul will be taken? When faced with Angels Council Who going win this battle for the soul?
Nothing every Black and White when you have Demons angels Witches and more in the mix!
The ending will have you screaming to get next one!
The third installment in the jade Calhoun series just got a little darker. Full of suspense and a twist ending I highly recommend this book. I absolutely love the strong bond between jade and Kane and the supernatural within the story makes it just that much more enjoyable.
Book 3 is one of my favourites great drama twists and turns Jade is amazing just when you think she has been through enough something else goes wrong lol love the narrator she brings the story to life and Deanna Chase is a a amazing author all of her books are amazing.
